“We were visiting from out of town and got takeout here for an easy meal. Food was delicious, fairly priced and portioned, and fresh. The people were very friendly, sent a text when the food was ready (which was quick!) and even included doughnuts and a scroll style wall calendar which is super cool! Would 110% recommend this place and will definitely be back next time we’re in Lexington!“

“I came here for the first time last night. I was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the counter was very kind, and he was more than happy to explain the menu items. The prices are very reasonable too. And you can see them cooking your food. When I got my order, it was enough to feed 2 people! They are generous with the sauces too. My meal was very hot and the fried rice is full of flavor. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to anyone who wants good Asian food.“

“It's been quite a while since i have had this restaurant's food so I can't really give an honest opinion on that, but what I do remember of it is that it was good. The restaurant itself is rather small. The service had been, and is still really fast and on point! No problems ever ! I love good fast take out place! With this China King, that's what you get. ENJOY!

All the standard Chinese-American dishes like orange chicken and crab rangoons, but also authentic dishes like mapo tofu as well for those willing to try them out. Highest recommendation.“

“This is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in Lexington. The food is fresh, piping hot, delicious and plentiful. I always get at least 2, sometimes 3, meals out of one order. And, if you are a fan of steamed dumplings, theirs are divine. The people who run this location are warm and friendly. I have literally gone there for many years and I have never, ever seen them be anything but nice to every single customer who walked in. The restaurant and the owners are a wonderful asset to our community. I will be a happy customer for life.“

“Consistently good quality Chinese food, I usually pick up something once a week and haven't had a bad meal yet. Pretty traditional selection of American Chinese food menu options, but has a wide variety of combinations so it's easy to find something for anyone. Well priced for the portions, and never takes very long to order or pick-up.“

“The food was so good and the owner (or someone who I thought was the owner) was so nice. I ordered takeout using the phone and when I picked it up, an elderly man was there, greeted me with a smile, and was very pleasant.

I ordered the beef chow fun and will order it again and again. The portion amount was perfect.“

“I live in the Hamburg area of Lexington, KY. Shanghai Bistro is not far from where I live and I eat there 1-2 times a week. I order the same meal every time: fried rice, broccoli and spring roll. I never wait long for my meal to arrive.The food is fresh and consistently excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed. I don’t feel rushed to eat and leave. I highly recommend trying Shanghai Bistro. “This is the best Chinese food place! It’s a family-run business that still gives tremendous customer service despite COVID. There is no indoor dining right now, but their carry-out service is still great. Masks are worn and social distance is maintained. I’ve never had bad food here. My food is always hot when I get home, and all food is nutritious and appealing. I especially love the vegetable bean curd soup and the vegetable rolls. I’ve also had some of their vegetable dishes. Portion sizes are generous, and the customer service has always been superb. I highly recommend Wah Mei, located in the Hartland Shopping Center on Hartland Parkway, Lexington, Kentucky.“

“First things first: Cheng’s is a wonderful restaurant with a gig-delivery OR customer pick up model and no seating for diners. We prefer to pick ours up which gives us a couple of minutes to enjoy the fragrances wafting out of their kitchen. The food is well prepared, fresh, and well packaged for the drive home. The counter service is polite and efficient. The parking is easy (they also have a drive-through pick up window). If you go pick up a paper menu to make ordering easier the second time. FYI, the five stars for atmosphere is because the waiting area is comfortable, clean and smells delicious.“
