I have been so excited to take my friend to this place as it is a stop along the way to my parents house in Missouri from North Carolina and these girls made such a fun night for us. Gave us personalized recommendations on KY Bourbons, and really enjoyed the hand-picked selections for the Bourbon flight. The owner (Daniel) was there, and he nicely added to our experience! Overall - great place to relax, talk, and have a smooth drink!

Comfortable, welcoming bar with a wide, wide selection of bourbon and cleverly named drinks. Friendly informative staff and just a great place to meet friends and relax over cocktails. Would highly recommend stopping by for a drink and see for yourself!

There were 5 of us. Upon entering, we saw rows of bourbons. The bar looks a little tired. It needs some deep cleaning and reupholstery on furniture. The first thing we were told by the server was we could not purchase any bourbon with a red tie. Why? If you are not offering them for purchase, why display them? Are you displaying bottles filled with other liquid than the bourbon labeled? Next, they do not offer a list of what is available. So, you basically have to look at the shelves, select and inquire about the cost. That took quite an effort in an almost empty bar. Why does that have to be so complicated and prolonged?. So, we decided the best route to go was to order a signature cocktail offering, Well, they were out of ingredients for some of them. I finally thought, okay, I’m just going to get a bourbon I’m familiar with, see if the cost is reasonable and just get that. We had reservations at the Freight House. We arrived an hour early so we could relax before dinner. Their bar was closed for a private event, and they suggested this bar. I think someone from the Freight House ought to go over and see what they experience. Hoping for the best for Barrel & Bond.

Very cool bar with a wide selection of whiskey and bourbon. Nice place if you want to try something new or different—prices are reasonable. Great cocktail menu too if that’s more your speed. Music is vibing and chairs are comfortable.

Touring Kentucky and stopped by as the huge display of bottles caught our eye. We were greeted by Ernie the bar tender who was a font of knowledge on American bourbons & whiskeys. We tasted 4 different drinks that he chose that were tailored to our tastes, had such a fun time.We didn’t eat here, but the platters looked fabulous.Really recommend this place if you’re after a friendly relaxed experience, good for the novice bourbon drinker as well as the expert.Kid-friendliness: This isn’t a place for children.
