Max's Brick Oven Cafe Reviews
Had lunch twice during quilt week. Food was fantastic, drinks were fantastic, the dessert we didn’t know we needed was fantastic. Most importantly, our server Mark had a great personality and made the entire experience even better. Will be back, but not soon enough.
We really wanted to like this place we called on a Saturday for a table outside and when we arrived the hostess was rude trying to talk to this person letting them know we weren’t a walk up and had called in before they opened and there were plenty of tables open they might have to clean them but they could find us a table after going back a forth for a few minutes she walked away and set a table up and side there’s a table over there for you’re party Then ordering ...read full review
I’ve been eating here my entire life and this past Saturday was a disappointment. Outside DJ was so loud that my friends had to scream just to have a conversation. The DJ would turn down the music and the turn it up again. He was also singing along to the music (in the microphone)
Pizza was just okay, quality used to be much better

Max's Brick Oven Cafe is a restaurant known for its delicious food and cozy atmosphere. The artichoke dip, served with thick pita bread, is a popular choice, along with the Italian sausage pizza, baked on a light and airy cracker crust. The Greek chicken, although not as expected, was still enjoyed for its tender meat and flavorful white sauce. The blackened, grilled tuna was cooked to perfection, with a buttery and soft texture. The service is outstanding, with servers like Josh and Nick providing excellent attention without being overbearing. The restaurant offers a variety of options for guests, including a melt-in-your-mouth spinach artichoke dip, a perfectly crisp brick oven pizza, and a light and mousse-like crème brulee. Customers appreciated the good service and quality food, with some enjoying vegetarian options like pasta dishes without protein, such as lemon oregano ‘chicken’ over fettuccine. Many diners have praised dishes such as the smoked salmon dip, which is light and refreshing, and crab cakes that are so good they could eat six of them. Portion sizes are perfect, and the well-balanced entrees, like the warm arugula salad paired with steak forestiere, add to the dining experience. The outdoor seating is nice, and the indoor vibe is cozy and warm, playing into the historic charm of the building. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, though brick roads and cobblestone leading to it may pose some challenges. Parking can be difficult due to its popular location, but many visitors find it worth the effort. Overall, Max's Brick Oven Cafe remains a favorite for those seeking good food and friendly service, with many guests eager to return.
