Entertainment on the pavilion was nice. 21 tables, 7 empty, yet told by a rude hostess that we would have to wait 5 to 10 mins for a table. Told if we wanted a cocktail we wojld have to go inside and get it ourselves. Got a table after 15 mins. Hostess still rude. Server was nice, Food was average at best. Dont think we will be going back, the hostess obviously doesnt want us to.
My sister Becky Vaughn & sister-in-law Mary Hawkins and I shared a room with a queen size bed and a cot. The temperpedic mattress was amazing. The staff were very attentive and we ate dinner outside listening to the entertainment "Handcar Prophets" who were awesome. Loved seeing owners Bruce Parker & Linda Edelstein Parker who grew up in Henry County. Her brother "Ronnie" who now goes only by Ron cooked our breakfast and we had a great visit reminiscing....
I had never heard of this place prior to family visiting Kentucky. Apparently, it is well known and they had looked it up. Specifically, they wanted to go try some of the special cake the place is known for. I was pleasantly surprised. The host was exceptionally friendly. The staff was great. The food was good. Getting there is a bit tricky - follow your GPS don't trust your gut. But, otherwise it was excellent.
