“Social is the best overall restaurant in Lafayette. They are consistent in every detail. Theier decor still looks up-to-date. The service is invariably excellent. Maddie took great care of us. Cocktails are some of the best in the city. We started with their famous fried green tomatoes, and the baked feta. Social's fried green tomatoes are a perfect dish, and the baked feta was surprisingly good as well. We had a nice bottle of wine, off their extensive list. For entrées, she had the shrimp caesar flatbread, and I had the blackened redfish on corn maque choux. Both were excellent. The crust of their flatbreads is especially good. Whenever we spend a free night in Lafayette, we love going to Social. “

“We had a birthday celebration on Saturday night. I called for reservations a week in advanced, received a text confirmation minutes later. I then received a text reminder on Friday. THEN a phone call an hour before. The service was excellent. The food was fantastic and well priced. The drinks were well made. Couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner with family and friends.“

“I think I found a hidden gem in Lafayette. My dear friend wanted to bring me out to celebrate my birthday. We drove from Alexandria la to Lafayette today. We walked in, and a server said we could find an empty seat. We were greeted by our server and ordered drinks and appetizers. My drinks were a coke and an espresso martini. My espresso was made to perfection. Our appetizers were the BBQ BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP..... Bacon wrapped shrimp in a savory NOLA style butter BBQ sauce which was delicious. We also ordered the BRISKET FRIES. Smoked brisket, pepperjack, cheddar, Cajun BBQ, chipotle aioli, and green onion. I swear those cheese fries were the best cheese fries I've ever eaten in my entire natural born life. Wow wow wow. I sat in shock about how good they were. We ordered our entrees I ordered the GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST...... Chargrilled chicken breast,', with grilled veggie medley and roasted fingerling potatoes. It was so delicious. My friend ordered the REDFISH VERMILION.
Grilled redfish topped with crawfish etoufee, served with chargrilled asparagus. I tasted some of her dish. It was yummy as well. Our server was nice and kind and treated us well as he maintained the bar. The atmosphere was laid back and it seemed everyone enjoyed being there. It was our first time and we definitely will be back.“

“While the food is usually good (most of the time soggy if you’re ordering from the drive thru) don’t ever expect to get an extra sauce. It seems every time I go they never give me the extra sauces I pay for. Canes is really nothing without their sauce which is why it’s so important to receive it. It’s annoying because not only am I paying almost an extra dollar for 2, but it seems more common to not receive a sauce than to get one. Most of the employees are really nice but there’s the handful that have an attitude or don’t say one word to you. This really is one of the better Canes, but I just wish it was guaranteed I get my extra sauce.“

“This was the third time I’ve been to Piccadilly in the last 30 days. I’ve eaten something different each time and each time, the meal was delicious. I’m so pleased to have re-discovered the restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, the restaurant was clean and the staff was helpful and very friendly. Don’t forget to tip for picking up your many plates and cleaning your table. I’ll be back soon!“
