“My wife and i were surprised at the relatively dissapointing nightlife in downtown Baton Rouge. As we drove, she searched for a speakeasy. We came upon Hayride Scandal. Parking was easy, as we came upon the location nestled alongside a Hooters. Tall wooden doors open to a very nicely decored bar room. Darkly tone wood accents with bar or lounge seating. We choose the bar, as it is my habit to strike up conversations with the mixologists and learn about the establishment. 5 stars go to Brian, who was willing to engage my questions and then 3 mixology challenges. Classic black & white movies play on monitors over the bar tv. Fellow bar patrons were excellent conversation and an opportunity to wish them a happy birthday. Brian and Hayride Scandal made up for a great Saturday evening. Highly recommend this locale for all!“

“I have to take a moment to PRAISE Radio Bar! They are just fan-freaking-tastic. They hosted the Baton Rouge Improv Festival’s opening night this evening and were the most wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to share their space with us and were so helpful - even let us store the stage there for a night when we asked if it was possible. Special shout out to Caleb and JP and all the amazing team members that we interacted with. You were all outstanding and we look forward to being back with you on Sunday night!! I don’t normally write such a lengthy review, but I had one of the best (of quite a few) experiences there just yesterday, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the kindness Swamp Shack delivers on. One, I’m so picky about daiquiris- especially the alcohol used in them - and this place is genuinely my favorite. Their margarita daiquiri is phenomenal (but especially when combined with jalapeño and watermelon, salt rim. Try it - seriously.) Two, if their daiquiris weren’t delicious enough, they CONSISTENTLY have some of the best customer service I’ve ever received - in general. It’s drive-thru only unfortunately, but if I’m having a bad day, I still feel better just passing through there as quickly as I do. (Owners, I’m sure you know, but yall are so lucky to have Jordin. She’s seriously amazing. For real though - she deserves Something! Lol) And three, with all that you’d think they’d be expensive, but their prices are beyond competitive - even when adding a different flavor to the daiquiri. Even if you have to drive, make this your new go-to. You won’t regret it! 🥰“

“I always have an wonderful time at Lakeside Daqaires. They uave pool tables and darts with music. Its peaceful and a nice place to go. They also have out door seating. They have big tv eith all sports. I had a wonderful time and I will be going back.“

In the middle of Barton Rouge has huge Mississippi River. So it is famouse with all the fish- based dishes. But, there is another root, "French style". The [King Bar & Bistro] is exactly the place.

Located at the basement floor of the "Indigo Hotel", it gave us very pleasent, cool, fresh air. All the staff were gentile and being friendly. And the Chef... He knew what we precisely starved for, even we didn't know.

Steak, Ratattoi, Pasta, each of plate was epic, gorgeous, even became sexy.

We were kind of bored with all fried fish, shrips, and potato chips. And the steak was like an angel of the pallet.

We were fully loved and enjoyed all flaboured harmony.

It is became 3 months to be renovated, and they served the most beautiful cheescake.
And with the Lemon-cocktail.

“On 8/11/23. Never been here before but my husband friend invited us. It's definitely the older crowd. I like that, bc I don't do clubs. Parking is limited, inside space is limited but it's not crowded..no shoulder to shoulder. They played good music(a real dj ??), everyone was dancing the drinks are good. They cook food on the outside. If I had to say if I would go back I would. Only downside is they give u your ice in a bowl. It wouldn't be much if they get some of those ice buckets from Dollar tree to make it a little let hood. “The best restaurant in Plaquemine hands down. I was working in Plaquemine for a year i happened to run across this hidden gem. As a female travel alone I felt safe going in there by myself. It's a great atmosphere. The bartenders are awesome. The local are super friendly. The owner a great guy and wonderful cook. Must try out steak night. It does have a touch tones jukebox so you can pick out your own music while your eating or drinking. If your in Plaquemine go check it out.“

Personally, I would recommend that the Bar offer a little more variety in alcoholic beverages.
More Exotic & Foreign Beers. More Traditional Cocktails and Wines. Uncle Earl’s already has an impressive selection. But if you want to be competitive in the race. The more, the merrier.

The Management & Staff at Uncle Earl’s are hands down, the friendliest that I’ve seen in quite some time. They relish your business and go above and beyond in service.
This should give them a powerful edge over other places that sometimes act like customers are plentiful & replaceable. Here, they truly appreciate your business.

Also, this is a great place for Private Parties and gatherings. There are plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sports.

It has a great location, easy to get to from wherever you live. The parking is in the rear of the strip-like mall.

This would be a good place to meet up with family and friends during weekdays after work as well as on weekends.“
