Didn’t mean to come here for lunch but glad we ended up here! We had the thin fried catfish and it was fantastic! Crispy, tasty, seasoned perfectly. Ate it with my fingers! So good!!Didn’t eat the hush puppies bc they were done too much.Our server, Jennifer, was wonderful! Friendly service by everyone, even when they were slammed!
Disappointed. The portion sizes have been greatly reduced. I use to order the large thin fried catfish platter and have enough to take home. Now there is only one size and the portions are less that what was the smaller platter in the past. The fried shrimp and oysters were very good, but still small portions.

Our family loves Middendorf’s thin crispy fish. Tried new location Slidell. They have changed from a small or large size plate to one size. Did not lower the price. Ask waitress if enough for two to share “oh yes”. She brought out 3 pieces of fish. When I questioned this. She argued that is “by the weight” these two pieces of thin cut fish could have barely weight 2 oz. Should have been 10 oz. Finally got manager. He brought out 3 more pieces.
