“I can NOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS about the Mother’s Day buffet. My family enjoyed the phenomenal Easter buffet and looked forward to the Mother’s Day; let me say, we were impressed once again. So many wonderful things I could not sample everything but here are my favorites 1. The eggs Benedict … this delicious golden yolk cascaded down, mingling with the silky thyme hollandaise to infuse into the soft English muffin…. Absolute delish!!! 2. The shrimp and grits …. Perfectly cooked spicy shrimp with Gouda grits was a testimony to why southern Louisiana cuisine reigns supreme …. And the Monica sauce elevates it to elegance while still your tummy is pampered with down home comfort. 3. The fried fish! This is a chef’s secret because it was not traditional fried fish. Whatever the secret, it delivered scrumptiousness in every crispy tender bite! Oh and don’t forget the homemade tartar sauce! 4. …… and the perfectly cooked Prime Rib! with the amazing horseradish sauce to complement … definitely a show stopper 5. The ambiance…. “Food so good. Been eating there for years. My family eats there. Very delicious and I definitely recommend. Some of the best chicken and shrimp fried rice. Everything just very good. Guarantee you would go back. Service and timing is great. Always cooked when you order so everything is fresh and hot.

Parking: It’s not a large parking lot but no one is there long so there is enough room for everyone that comes.“

“I recently visited this place for the first time on Friday night I was greeted by a hostess who's seemingly appeared to be here for a long time I'm not sure but I was greeted in the most professional way and seated in the area they gave me prompt delivery as the place was very crowded which is a good sign thank you to The Host I believe her name was Dina don't know where she came from but I suggest you guys keep her she gave me a wonderful experience from the door coming in to the door coming out thank you Ms Dina I hope you had a good night“

“If you go, give your tip directly to your server in cash and tell them it's not a tip, but a gift. Koal's pays their employees weak pay and acts like they're doing them a favor. Multiple employees over the years have told me Koal's keeps the tips we pay for the servers to have saying that the employees can have them if they want to make $2 an hour. Love the food there, but I won't support them after finding this out.“

“Mother's Day 2024 was much first visit there. I entered a contest by writing an essay about my Mom ( my biological mom has been deceased for years, so I wrote about my spiritual Mom (pastor's wife) and I won a sack of crawfish with fixings for her! She was over the moon happy. The meal was amazing! When the cooler was opened, you could smell a balance of seasonings. The customer service was amazing! Cheyenne is so nice. We had a great conversation! My family looks forward to eating meals from Debarge's again!“

“I got the Maki Roll Lunch special which came with a salmon roll, spicy tuna, and California roll. Fish was fresh, food came out fast. The issue was that the rice was not sushi rice (usually flavored with sugar, mirin, etc;) but just plain white jasmine rice that was a little bit too dry to be used for sushi. The ratio of fish to rice is also not great, too much rice.
The rolls were also cut into uneven pieces, with some too thick. Honestly I picked off all the rice and just ate the inside of the rolls.

The service was good, food came fast. Large portions. It’s clean inside. I would probably just order sashimi next time.

Salmon roll- 4/5 due to freshness of salmon. Rice sucked.

California roll- 2/5. Rice ruined it. Some pieces too thick.

Spicy tuna roll-1/5. Horrible rice. The spicy tuna also had a weird flavor and was not enjoyable.“

“We didn't have a reservation but they got us a table no problem. Our waiter was Jeffrey and he was so good! We got the Allegro Moscato which was delicious! Appetizer: The wedge salad, Shrimp Alexandria and the crab cakes were all sooo delicious! Entree: Salmon (good) and 8oz filet (dry) with whipped mashed potatoes (delicious). Dessert: Chocolate cake and cheesecake (mediocre).“

“I've been to this establishment on two occasions traveling from Texas. The first time was last summer the food was good. And my second time was 7-12-2025 food still good. My only complaint was the overall drive up appeal to the restaurant. The landscaping was horrible no appeal at all. The building itself needs painting badly. Parking lot needs attention such as restriping parking spaces etc. The inside floors were greasy and slippery. The men's restroom was smelly urininals were very dirty. Which probably the reason for the smell. If the things I mentioned. were adressed and fixed. The business for this place would increase.“
