“I’m on the PTO for a large school here in Pineville.We celebrated teacher appreciation today with a camping theme lunch that featured poboys. The po boys was a complete hit. AB and the rest of the staff there were a pleasure to deal with even when I called last minute to add a vegetable poboy to my order. They even sent plates and Napkins with our order they went above and beyond for us. I can’t thank them enough for helping us show the staff how appreciated they are.“

“My grand daughter with young son and I enjoyed delicious meals - (fried fish , shrimp ,hush puppies , Fr fries , onion rings Cole slaw and Hamburger ) !! She lives in NOrleans and was so impressed with quality of the meals AND the price !! I’ve been eating there a good while and have NEVER been disappointed in any way ! Seating is a small area but not crowded feeling ! Drive up window also - give order , drive around , park , and shortly the meal is delivered to your car ! “If you’re anywhere near this place in Louisiana and don’t stop, you’re doing it wrong. The crawfish and crab legs were unreal—perfectly seasoned, messy in the best way, and the kind of food that makes you completely abandon dignity and just go all in. Every bite had that bold, authentic flavor you hope for but rarely actually get. You can tell immediately this isn’t just food—it’s pride, tradition, and people who know exactly what they’re doing. And then there’s the gumbo. I got a gallon to go, which felt slightly excessive at the time… until it wasn’t. That gumbo made the trip all the way back to DC and somehow tasted just as incredible—maybe even better. It was a full-on hit. Rich, hearty, perfectly balanced—honestly the kind of gumbo you think about days later. But what really makes this place special is the people. Sera and Pops are absolute gems. The kind of folks who make you feel like you’ve been coming there for years, even if it’s your first visit. Warm, genuine, and clearly pouring their heart into everything they do—it shows in every dish and every interaction. This isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. And it’s one I’ll be talking about (and craving) for a long time.“

“Food so good. Been eating there for years. My family eats there. Very delicious and I definitely recommend. Some of the best chicken and shrimp fried rice. Everything just very good. Guarantee you would go back. Service and timing is great. Always cooked when you order so everything is fresh and hot.

Parking: It’s not a large parking lot but no one is there long so there is enough room for everyone that comes.“

“I can NOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS about the Mother’s Day buffet. My family enjoyed the phenomenal Easter buffet and looked forward to the Mother’s Day; let me say, we were impressed once again. So many wonderful things I could not sample everything but here are my favorites 1. The eggs Benedict … this delicious golden yolk cascaded down, mingling with the silky thyme hollandaise to infuse into the soft English muffin…. Absolute delish!!! 2. The shrimp and grits …. Perfectly cooked spicy shrimp with Gouda grits was a testimony to why southern Louisiana cuisine reigns supreme …. And the Monica sauce elevates it to elegance while still your tummy is pampered with down home comfort. 3. The fried fish! This is a chef’s secret because it was not traditional fried fish. Whatever the secret, it delivered scrumptiousness in every crispy tender bite! Oh and don’t forget the homemade tartar sauce! 4. …… and the perfectly cooked Prime Rib! with the amazing horseradish sauce to complement … definitely a show stopper 5. The ambiance…. The service as always great …..Which seems to be part of the family atmosphere….. and the soft jazz …..taking it from just dining with family to Mother’s Day memories“

“The service is busy but that is expected after certain times of the day. Food is almost perfect, the tuna from my experience could be better.

Atmosphere is perfect.

With all that being said, I wouldn't want the workers to be pressed hard because that makes for less of an experience for the customer. Just from being a chef and in the industry for as long as I have been.“

“If you go, give your tip directly to your server in cash and tell them it's not a tip, but a gift. Koal's pays their employees weak pay and acts like they're doing them a favor. Multiple employees over the years have told me Koal's keeps the tips we pay for the servers to have saying that the employees can have them if they want to make $2 an hour. Love the food there, but I won't support them after finding this out.“

“Jeeeez. I would come here all the time if I could. That atmosphere is just unforgettable. Old world feel, the kind of place you wish every other building has, style, architecture, that artistic feel to the way they designed the place that you wish was put into everything else in the world.

Food was pretty darn good, the ceasar dressing could use slight tweaking, like real anchovies blended and strained instead and less salt overall but otherwise it was so good.“

“My fish was fabulous. However I can't say the same for my husband's oysters. It was chopped up oysters in a breading, sort of like a hushpuppy with bits of oysters mixed in. Definitely not what he was expecting for fried oysters. We will go back to this restaurant, but opt for something other than oysters. He loved the Salisbury steak the previous time we went.“

They were pretty good but not the best I've ever had, they serve them in a plastic bag but they have heated and I feel like it makes the crab claws too damp (when the show should be crispy so you can get the meat out of there easily in my opinion), because I could not get the meat out of them; however the flavor of the claws were good it was like a Cajun flavor, and I did feel like the price was a little much since I didn't get a good full tummy out of it.“

There is just something about them peppers that polish off every meal at Debarge's. While your there take notice of the amazing friendly staff, Eden or Wyatt will truly remind you what good customer service is suppose to be like. 🙌🏼🙌🏼“

“My family and I came through the drive-thru and was greeted with the most delightful, energetic voice!!! A new voice at that!! I was excited to see who this lady was! I pulled up and seen the biggest smile on her face and when opening the window she was on point start to finish! I asked her name and how to spell it because she 100% deserves this review. Mrs. Geanne has the best attitude, she was AMAZING!!! I have never experienced this type of customer service anywhere the way Mrs. Geanne did for us. I think Alexandria should have a Geanne in all food places, she will have you planning the next visit. Not only was her attitude the best, but she also set the time to make sure our order was correct can we have everything needed in our bag. The food was hot and smells so good, my mother had to start eating in the vehicle.
