Acme Oyster House is a popular destination for both travelers and locals. While some customers have expressed disappointment with the lack of flavor in certain dishes, others have raved about the chargrilled oysters, gumbo, and sweet tea. The fish and shrimp platter and gumbo Poopa are particularly praised for their deliciousness and generous portions. The service is consistently outstanding, with attentive and personable servers. Customers have also enjoyed the hush puppies, shrimp, and onion rings, which are described as fresh and tasty. The "small" fried oyster platter is more than enough to satisfy, and the seafood gumbo and fried oyster po'boy are customer favorites. Overall, Acme Oyster House is a reliable choice for great food and excellent service.
