Don't eat here. One of the co-owners are the type to celebrate the death of a good man. No one should ever support a political assassination like this. But here is co-owner and executive chef Le Fort Erik Erik S LeFort Erik Lefort doing just that. No conservatives should ever spend here.
Such a fun little atmosphere. The food was excellent (I had the fettucini) and the staff was so nice. I’m glad I got the chance to go!!
I went to have lunch with my service dog who is still in training. The staff made me feel physically uncomfortable when he came to question the authenticity of my dog, who admittedly made a mistake that I immediately corrected. When I stood up to leave the man stood in my physical space and would not move when I said I would be leaving and explained why. La Divina Italian Coffee Cafe, located in Baton Rouge near LSU and close to downtown, offers so much more than delicious food and gelato. There is a little 'grocery' area, and they host many cute events. The people are nice and accommodating, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. Menu items include gelato, coffees, sandwiches, and Italian dishes. Kids got Gelato, and one customer ordered an affogato and a cinnamon bread, all delicious. A birthday dinner featured a veggie wrap (without mushrooms, with fresh greens, grilled zucchini, peppers, cheese) that was perfect, an Americano with oatmilk, and for dessert a white chocolate strawberry cheesecake gelato. Another visit included a Mango sorbet. The food dishes smelled wonderful, and a flatbread looked kickin. There are even games near the register to play, and some children’s art on the walls. It is a solid stop for strong, good-quality coffee, with tea options including Masala Chai. The bakery selection was limited, and items on display did not look very fresh, but it is still a good place to grab coffee on the road.
