“I ordered Shrimp and Grits they were phenomenal the boudin balls crusted with crushed cracklin were a little mushy and were kind of sweet. The place was made to look high end but lacked some ambiance. The home made bread was fantastic but they only bring one and did not offer more unless you ask. The server otherwise was very attentive, I would go back again.“

“My wife and I went for a special date night out after hearing good things about Maison Lacour. It's located in a converted residence like many of my favorite New Orleans restaurants are. There are very few tables; the chef and his wife do it all, resulting in an unhurried pace which is fine with me. The dining rooms are very quiet, so conversation tends to be low in volume. I ordered an Old Fashioned and my wife had a Kir Royale, both excellent. The bread was homemade and delicious. We split the duck and pork pate for starters, and it was very tasty, just not my all-time favorite. My wife ordered the veal chop. She liked it but was not blown away by it. I had the 8 oz. filet mignon, and it was perfect both in seasoning and preparation. We had wines by the glass, and like the cocktails, they were very good and generous pours for a reasonable price. We wrapped up the lovely evening sharing the bread pudding, also very good. We enjoyed the whole experience and will return soon.“

“Florida and her team did a Fantastic job for my friend Beverly's Birthday. I got the Taste of Louisiana and it was seasoned perfectly. The crab cake was delicious. I usually don't care for fried fish on a platter, but this fish was yummy. The brie and crab soup was excellent. I never ran dry on water. The staff is Wonderful, because they don't leave the empty plates on the table for you to mess up your clothes. Consistently Excellent. Highly recommend.“

“No comparison to Chicago, New York or Detroit pizza, we have to settle for what's okay in Louisiana. That being said, Byronz pizza was among the top 3 in Baton Rouge. Prices were high for the portions but their ingredients were quality and service is good. I'll go back.“

“Visted this spot with a friend for lunch today. Having never been, I entered through the patio. : / Tip: the entrance faces the store Free People. We walked in around 1pm. They weren't busy at all. It took about 5 minutes before our server came out w waters. I ordered the blackberry lemon drop (based on the reviews) and while it was very good, it wasn't $12 good. Maybe if served in a larger glass. I'm not a drinker so maybe that's why I expected more. My friend and I ordered the burger and just get it! It was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I upgraded my fies to parmesan, and it was worth it. They're served with garlic aoili and very good! My friend had regular and they were good too. We enjoyed he beautiful weather and the opportunity to catch up without distractions. I'm sure it's a very nice place to meet with friends after dark for drinks and small plates. I'll have to go back for that experience.“
