We stayed at the Boardwalk Marriot over the weekend. This was not our first time visiting the location . Upon checking in the front desk lady didnt greet us, she didnt look up at us. She gave a attitude with saying yes. I gave her my info to check in. I asked her if we could get a second floor roo., she tells me the only rooms available are the first floor, we checked in at 3pm. She then tells me they are short staffed and the workers have 21 rooms to clean. She gave me one key, I asked her we need 2 keys She tells me oh you need two. I was told mer name is Stephanie, I'm not sure I couldn't see her name on badge. She wore glasses, dark hair, older lady. Once we get to the room, the room didnt look clean paper was inside the bathroom on the floor, black stains on the carpet near the front door. I proceed to the front desk to let Stephanie know our concerns, she tells me she will send someone to clean the floor, but didnt address the cleanliness of the room. The room didnt smell like it was clean. I sat inside the lobby waiting for my husband, the same rude front desk lady tells me that I can go to my room to wait for maintenance. I told her what is the problem, she then tells the other lady at the desk shes going on break. This was the worst experience and I will cancel my reservation I have in Nov. This is a hospitality business and my experience with this location and staff was unacceptable. I refuse to be disrespected and staff not doing their job. I will never stay at Marriot. Remember the customers are why you have a job and They pay your bills.

Decided to stay here instead of a casino hotel because we wanted to stay in a smoke-free environment, plus the idea of having the boardwalk at our doorsteps was appealing. We were there on a Thursday night and the boardwalk was DEAD...none of the shops were open, the only open restaurant we could find on the boardwalk was The Crab Shack... though the staff was wonderful the food was just OK. The temperature was 108 degrees the night we arrived and walking the deserted boardwalk at night was not only Hot it was a bit scary. I kept wishing this hotel had a complimentary bus that drove their customers to some of the nearby casino and better restaurants. Heck, I would have gladly paid a small fee for service bus. The hotel was about average for a Marriott Courtyard, clean but a little worn. Staff was very nice; in fact, we had a $10 voucher for the dining area, but we never used it. The staff member gladly exchanged the voucher for Marriott points. Would I stay here again, I am not sure...the appeal when I researched it was being near activities and casinos, and it fell a little short of that.

Couryard Marriotts have a ‘foot print’ that seems similar. This Courtyard had a much larger lobby. It is located on one end of the river walk of Bossier. It is everything one expects from a Courtyard. Would stay here again. (August, 2022)

I could not be more pleased with our stay! Veronica at the front desk was so kind and helpful, and the whole staff was friendly. The hotel lobby and the room was very clean. Great location by the river and even took a morning walk. Hotel also served Starbucks coffee! Overall happy with our brief stay in town visiting friends. We will be back!!!

I put the address in GPS and it took me to a hotel. My granddaughter was very disappointed and upset. No idea what kinda of place this is or anything about the service. ? I only added a photo because the website asked for one.

Highly recommended!!! Such a wonderful staff!! The bartender was FANTASTIC!!! I can’t wait to go back! The room was so clean and the bed was so comfortable! It was like staying at home in my own bed!

We came in at night—and unfamiliar with the area. We saw no signage anywhere as to the Courtyard location. The mall is ready to completely shut down, as nearly all “daytime” retail tenants have “checked out.” The “Plaza Loop” is completely without tenants—as unfinished construction projects sit idle. The hotel has a pool area that needs TLC—but I suspect putting anymore resources into this location is risky—beyond those tolerated in the hospitality business.

After searching reviews of hotels in the area, I was looking for one that didn’t have complaints about ROACHES. I was pleased to find zero reviews about roaches at this hotel. Next comes the irony… we checked into the hotel, got our bags from the car, went up the elevator, got off elevator on floor 3, the first thing we saw was a ROACH zipping across the hallway floor. I told my husband I could not stay. He agreed. We went back to the lobby and told the front desk. The lady did not act surprised in the least to hear about a roach! We asked for a refund. She told me she couldn’t give me a refund because she wasn’t a manager. I had to call back the following day to ask for a manager to get my refund. I will never stay at this hotel!

I need someone to explain to me how a ceaser salad advertised for $11 plus a Pepsi turns into over $20? ?

Over the years we’ve stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Bossier several times. We like the location and in the past have been very pleased with the accommodations. However, this trip was not up to par. There has been an evident lack of maintenance to this property. It is looking very tired, outdated and not so clean. The automatic doors entering the hotel are very loud and leave you wondering if they are actually going to work. We booked a king suite. We were located on the 2nd floor. The signs on both floors at the elevators are missing letters. It just makes them look shabby. The elevators, much like the front doors, are loud and appear to need maintenance.Upon entering our room there was a noticiable smell of sewage that remained both nights of our trip. The sitting room furniture looked less than clean and very outdated. We were surprised to find that the room did not have a safe. The toiletries were limited to a small bar of soap and a little bottle of lotion. The shower was very slick. There was not a bath tub mat present. The bath towels were very thin and scratchy. Fortunately the bed appeared clean and was fairly comfortable. However, there was a loud noise of something kicking on and off until midnight or so. Not sure what it was but it was loud. We tried to have breakfast at the restaurant but was told all they had was oatmeal and pastries. Sadly, these things could be fixed with a little updating and maintenance but it appears that the effort to keep things fresh and operational are not a priority. This has always been our go to place in Bossier but we will stay elsewhere until Marriott decides to take the initiative to bring this location back up to the level we came to expect from the Courtyard Bossier. As a side note, each employee we encountered was pleasant and friendly.

Easy check in process. Safe and comfortable environment-we were two women traveling alone-parking lot was well lit for late arrival. Well stocked pantry with plenty of snack options. Coffee in the morning served with smiling faces. Room was clean and delightfully cold-it was 87 degrees outside. Convenience to Brookshire’s Grocery Arena is nice!

If you have another hotel option, take it. No restaurants available, the boardwalk is mostly closed for dinner options. And the hotel places all these bogus charges to your account. Staff is also not too pleasant.

Had 2 nights at this hotel in a 2-queen bedroom! The location is perfect! It’s by the river and adjacent to the outlet! The room is spacious, but the beds need upgrading! Beddings and linens were clean and has a min ref and a coffee maker. Parking is free, which is great!

I am a Elite Bonvoy Member of nearly Titanium status. I travel to Shreveport frequently and generally stay at the Marriott Courtyard Boardwalk. Recently I had to cancel a reservation approx 20 hours prior to my stay. I stayed the next night. . I attempted to get a refund for the cancelled reservation and the manager explained he has hundreds of those requests ( and having dealt with him I know why) and he would not issue a refund regardless of status. I will be finding another hotel in Shreveport. I have never had this issue with any other Marriott property.

Had the pleasure of staying here recently and from check in to check out it was the perfect stay! Excellent service! Comfortable beds! They made me feel at home from the moment I walked through the doors!! Will definitely stay again when we return to the area!!
