“I’m new to the area and have already been to Tim’s Kitchen five times — three times for takeout, once dining in, and twice placing orders for pickup, including this past Sunday. Each visit, the customer service has been outstanding — always attentive, warm, and genuine. Tim greets you as soon as you walk in and knows his customers by name, making every visit personal and welcoming. The hospitality extends to his staff too — everyone makes you feel right at home. So far, I’ve had the barbecue twice, gumbo four times, fried shrimp, and the fried fish plate with étouffée, all with delicious sides, including great potato salad, which is hard to find. It all comes with that soft homemade bread, the perfect touch to any meal. And let’s talk about the desserts — I’ve had the wedding cake twice now, plus the red velvet, and both are the best I’ve had so far in Acadiana. Even my family members who were visiting couldn’t get over how good these homemade cakes are. I’ve also tried the chocolate chip doozie and the chocolate doozie with whipped cream (which was recommended by his wife — and what a great recommendation!). I have so much more to try at Tim’s, and I’m really looking forward to my next visit!“

“We were passing through the area and decided to experience some local eateries. This proved to be an excellent choice for us. From the moment we entered the establishment we knew this was going to be fun. The vibe of music, conversations and surroundings hit the right notes. It went from fried green tomatoes to a wedge salad for two and finally both smoked fried chicken and steak and Frites. We were not rushed but rather enjoyed conversation with Kate, she was so knowledgeable about every aspect of the establishment and impressed us immensely. The food was excellent and we will make sure to return again.“

“We had a birthday celebration on Saturday night. I called for reservations a week in advanced, received a text confirmation minutes later. I then received a text reminder on Friday. THEN a phone call an hour before. The service was excellent. The food was fantastic and well priced. The drinks were well made. Couldn't have asked for a better birthday dinner with family and friends.“

“I think I found a hidden gem in Lafayette. My dear friend wanted to bring me out to celebrate my birthday. We drove from Alexandria la to Lafayette today. We walked in, and a server said we could find an empty seat. We were greeted by our server and ordered drinks and appetizers. My drinks were a coke and an espresso martini. My espresso was made to perfection. Our appetizers were the BBQ BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP..... Bacon wrapped shrimp in a savory NOLA style butter BBQ sauce which was delicious. We also ordered the BRISKET FRIES. Smoked brisket, pepperjack, cheddar, Cajun BBQ, chipotle aioli, and green onion. I swear those cheese fries were the best cheese fries I've ever eaten in my entire natural born life. Wow wow wow. I sat in shock about how good they were. We ordered our entrees I ordered the GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST...... Chargrilled chicken breast,', with grilled veggie medley and roasted fingerling potatoes. It was so delicious. My friend ordered the REDFISH VERMILION.
Grilled redfish topped with crawfish etoufee, served with chargrilled asparagus. I tasted some of her dish. It was yummy as well. Our server was nice and kind and treated us well as he maintained the bar. The atmosphere was laid back and it seemed everyone enjoyed being there. It was our first time and we definitely will be back.“

“While the food is usually good (most of the time soggy if you’re ordering from the drive thru) don’t ever expect to get an extra sauce. It seems every time I go they never give me the extra sauces I pay for. Canes is really nothing without their sauce which is why it’s so important to receive it. It’s annoying because not only am I paying almost an extra dollar for 2, but it seems more common to not receive a sauce than to get one. Most of the employees are really nice but there’s the handful that have an attitude or don’t say one word to you. This really is one of the better Canes, but I just wish it was guaranteed I get my extra sauce.“

“Warm, friendly staff. Delicious food. Only complaint is that there was no sweet potato pie and the red velvet cake was dry. They had a few items that were low, but they were working to replenish. This could be due to the after church crowd.“
