“Love this local spot!! It’s our go to for great barbecue. Personally, their corn pudding is my absolute favorite, and my kids love the mac & cheese and curly fries. I always get the pulled pork sandwich – consistently great. My son loves their ribs, says there is a ton of meat on them. Friendly service - leaving happy. :)“
“Crawford's has the best catfish on BOTH sides of the Mississippi! We drive all the way from CA just to get our fill! The staff is always friendly and we get treated like family. Thanks, Crawfords ... we'll be back when our hankering gets too strong to ignore! ♥️“
“Eliza is a hidden gem of Baton Rouge and features exquisite modern cuisine for South Louisiana palates. My experiences there having the fish sandwich and fresh the redfish with risotto make me want to come back and try the whole menu. Chef's kiss.“
“Have had several lunches, frozen meal items and ordered catered meal for Christmas. This business runs like a well oiled machine. The employees are like family and you will become a part of it. The food is cooked with attention and care as it is always consistently good. Check out the deserts and wine selections as well. A hidden gem.“
“We were in town for vacation and ate lunch at this spot twice last week !! Such great food and customer service..The catfish and shrimp were outstanding! Ya gotta try the shrimp burger! Thanks for making it a great experience for us Texans…Can’t wait to come back!“
“I would have never expected a delicious, inexpensive breakfast inside a hospital! I had the breakfast special, and the portions were generous at the amazing price of $7.95. Service was friendly (the owner brought my food to me upon noticing my cane), and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. A real hidden gem in BR!“
“Great Food and Great Atmosphere!! Had my daughter's LSU Graduation lunch here and Stacey, the general manager, could not have been more accommodating. Terrence, our server, was awesome!! Even though we had a party of twenty, he kept drinks filled, got our food to us in a timely manner, and always had a smile on his face! Thank you Southern Pearl!! Great Job!!“
“Best bbq I have had in a long time. Food was at the table before we knew it and it was amazing! Our service was promptly given and we literally got what we wanted before we asked for it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming/relaxing. I definitely will go back and I have already told most of my buddies how dang good everything was. Last but not least the price point was very agreeable to me . We had a wonderful time affordable. I recommend this place highly.“
“We've been to this location more than once since they've moved from their previous location. Everything has been excellent! The service has been great, our waitress Ms. Amya was wonderful & pleasure. No complaints about the food, it has been great! From the duck empanadas to the seafood menu you can't go wrong. Definitely won't be the last time we visit.“
“I would give this restaurant 5 stars if the service matched the quality of the food. The food is great. The service is atrocious, incredibly slow and neglectful and deserves 1 star. But again, the food is their saving grace. I hope they can get it together in terms of front of the house operations.“
“Mason's has great burgers, local flavor, and wonderful "Bloody Mason's". Their Sunday Brunch is awesome, but crowded. Get there early!Update 3/26/24 - new owners are still doing a great job. Try the banging shrimp burger!“
“2nd Vist 2/22/24 4pm-5pmThis place once again was amazing. Our sever Misty was so friendly, attentive and gave the best customer service that we've had in a long time.I had the fries combo of shrimp and oysters, my mom had the catfish and oysters. So darn delicious! Took my mom here to show her that we still have amazing local restaurants in Baton Rouge.Got a to go poboy of roast beef for my husband. It was real roast beef not slices and a day later he is still talking about how it was the best RB poboy he's ever had.We definitely will be going back and telling friends and family.Lady at the bar was super awesome! 2/16 left at 7:30pm. Food was fantastic ? ?! Crab cakes and stuff mushrooms were divine. I had Ceasar salad with fried shrimp and my hubby had fried oysters, all heavenly. If you like drinks try the dark & stormy, man this is a bomb cocktail. We will definitely be back soon and often.“
“Still the best value and most nutritious meal you can get in Baton Rouge for an affordable price.Okay, so I'm old. When I was a teenager and young adult there were several cafeterias successfully operating in the greater New Orleans area where I lived at the time. A&G cafeteria and Piccadilly or the two primary ones that come to mind but I know there were others as well in some parts of the city.As someone who likes to eat out without spending too much money, and often dining alone, I crave a balanced meal with REAL vegetables (no in my opinion potatoes do not count as they are mostly carbs and starch)... I really enjoy a cafeteria setup where you have options and know you can always count on them having several choices of healthy vegetables not drowning in sauce or butter. If you decide to try the Piccadilly cafeteria based on this review keep in mind timing is everything. Although they are open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 7 days a week excluding legal holidays, the best time to go for the freshest options on a steam line is around lunch time or dinner time. Like any other restaurant they want to minimize food waste, and although the types of items they serve keep fairly well on a steam line for a while... It's not as appetizing when you're viewing the line to choose your selection if the food item has been there for over an hour.Although the prices have gone up at the Piccadilly, so have prices everywhere else and the Piccadilly is still by far the best value for the money considering all that you get.I usually go to the Piccadilly cafeteria on Sherwood Forest as that is the one closest to me, but I'll occasionally stop at the one on Florida Boulevard too. Both restaurants are VERY dated in decor and could definitely use a renovation. However, the staff do a very good job keeping the facilities clean which is no easy feat when furniture and carpet are old.The wait staff are very attentive. As with most wait staff they are dependent on giving good service in order to get tips and make a living wage. I really appreciate the waitresses checking in a couple of times during the meal just in case I'd forgotten to ask for something. They do it in a friendly and non-intrusive way not two interrupt your meal but still make sure that you're not lacking for a sauce, or cup of coffee to finish your meal. It's sad to me that every time I go to the Piccadilly I almost always see people that are 50 plus years old. It's rare to see anyone in their 20s or 30s eating there. I think the younger generation could take a page from our old book and appreciate a well-balanced home cook styled meal without having to depend on all the razzle dazzle decor that newer restaurants offer for higher prices. It's not uncommon for me to go there to dine in for lunch or dinner, and because the food is filling and nutritious I often take nearly half of it home to eat the following day. That stretches my dollars even more.Yes, it's true that Piccadilly does not serve any alcohol. So I get that for some patrons seeking a place to eat, especially in the evening that's a mark against them since many younger patrons would like a beer or glass of wine or cocktail with their meal. But, a good well balanced meal for a fair price without an alcoholic a drink accompanying could be considered by the young crowd as a healthy alternative as well.“
“No bells & whistles just go in & dine on home cooked food, or take out. Service staff on the line are polite. Service staff on the floor waiting tables are very busy and work hard & efficiently to take care of items you need or forgot. Tables & booths. Large restrooms.Vegetarian options: I usually get the 4-veggie plate with Galicia bread. Lots of salad & vegetable choices.Dietary restrictions: Labels are present on glass in front of food, but servers are knowledgeable if asked.Parking: Drive up area to leave guests for easy mobility to entry, several handicapped parking spots at front. Front & side parking.Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats & high chairs if needed. Servers help parents take little kids' trays to the table.Wheelchair accessibility: Non curb entry, large sliding doors or large entry with handled doors. Wide walkway area into line. Serve staff assits“
“Food was delivered to the clinic for lunch, and it was a hit!!! So good & great service. Food was hot & cooked perfect with so much flavor! Mark made sure we had everything we needed before he left! We will be getting food from here again! Thanks so much!!!“
“Not restaurant quality ambiance but if you want your go to seafood boil this is the place. From pig feet, turkey necks (whole), shrimp with jalapeños, crab legs, crayfish and more! You choose your crab legs in the freezer then they cook them seasoned in about 12min.“
“I've come here occasionally and I love the variety of chicken salad. So there was a new Chicken Salad Melt and I chose the Jalapeno Holly. The cheese wasn't melted completely, but it added more flavor to the jalapenos. Mac and cheese is bland. You need to add some and pepper. It will taste better with some seasoning.I don't like butter cream frosting on my sweets. The sugar cookie is still good. Nice treat for the meal. I love the pickle. Nothing amazing about the food other than the service and atmosphere. Lunch is my favorite time to eat here!“
“WOW! We had the best experience here at Tallulah Crafted Food and Wine bar. Our server Caitlin was the absolute best. She showed extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to recommend items catered to our taste. The ambience was breathtaking and we were able to experience high quality foods without the hassle of leaving the hotel. We are looking forward to our next trip down and each time we would like to work with Caitlin. Thank you so much for being a joy Caitlin!!!“
“Brydon who was our waiter was very professional and he came to check on us and he brought me another glass of tea. The food was delicious but I noticed that my plate had a small portion at this location in Gonzales, Louisiana as compared to the other Cracker Barrel in Baton Rouge which we received a slightly larger portion on our plate. We usually drive to the Baton Rouge’s location but we decided to dine at the Gonzales Location. I would have rated five because of the small portion. We ordered the meatloaf with two sides of mac/cheese. I would have preferred if the meatloaf was a little hot but it was warm but the mac/cheese was hot. I love the sweet tea,. Overall, the dining experience was amazing!“
“Will return. Really nice brunch vibe. Outside was really quiet and laid back and inside was lively and loud. Brunch menu was average. Nothing new nor anything that will blow your mind however the food was good. The BBQ shrimp and grits were GREAT! The sauce was different from BBQ shrimp sauce I’ve previously had. The grits were really thick and creamy. The shrimp were small but they were good quality and well seasoned and tasted great independently of the sauce they were in. The potatoes were well seasoned and the portions were above average. The biscuit was $4. You receive two. It was nothing special and did not come with butter, honey, preserves, etc. also ordered unlimited mimosas for $22. Worth the price! However the juice provided with the mimosas tasted the same. It was difficult to distinguish between passion fruit, peach, mango, etc. While my server was really personable he didn’t notice that out table had no utensils and we waited for about 5 minutes before actually getting up and getting our own utensils from staff who was rolling for future patrons. Overall I will attend for again for happy hour/dinner etc.“
“Stopped by the O’Neal location after work last night to grab something to go. Got the pastalaya dinner plate. The pastalaya was hot, fresh, wonderfully seasoned and absolutely delicious. The potato salad was cold and creamy, a spectacular accompaniment to my main dish. The service from the staff was fast and friendly. Love this location of Rice and Roux.“
“Treated some friend who have never been to CB. They loved it, as I do. Everything on the menu is good. This is my comfort food. I go to CB for the biscuits but I enjoy everything. The service is usually excellent as well. Their employees are usually the best!Parking: Lots of parking all around the building. There is even parking for people pulling campers.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. They have booster seats and plastic cups and it is a family environmentWheelchair accessibility: The dining room and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. There are plenty if handicap parking spots but the store part of the restaurant can be too crowded for someone in a wheelchair to get around comfortably“
“After reading other reviews, I decided to give Griffin Grill a try. I am glad I did, cheeseburger was delicious. Only tip, I heard someone telling someone else to order without the added salt. Salt definitely would have ruined the burger for me so I was glad to overhear that conversation.“
