“First off let me apologize for the photo attached to this review. As soon as my order was delivered to the table I started munching away and enjoying the sandwich and soup so much that I didn't take a picture until half of it was gone. A friend from work had recommended I try this business years ago but since there isn't one right near my home it took me a while to drive near enough to one and today was that day. I was not at all disappointed by my first visit. Notice that they had a wide variety of chicken salad combinations. Some were savory, some were fruity and others were more traditional. I selected the basil and lemon chicken salad and ordered it as BLT on wheat toast. Selected a cup of their Friday soup special which was tomato bisque to go with my combo. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Don't know if I will ever order any of their fruity chicken salad mixes, not really my thing - but will definitely try some of their other savory chicken salads. Well worth the extra miles to get a wonderful sandwich and soup combination.“
“It's the " breakfast place all the locals go to" really great prices for the serving of food you get, pancakes and biscuits are 10/10Parking: It's apart of an old shopping center, plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Walking to the place, it seems like it's just a "good old family resturant"Wheelchair accessibility: Doors are wide enough, tables have plenty of space between them.“
“I’ll be completely honest and say that I was not blown away with my meal. However, the service was impeccable. So much that I would still return and try a different dish. Highly recommend based on the environment, customer service, and pleasant experience.“
“Maybe I came At the Wrong time. But my beans were cold .. It was not the sonny's Im used to. Dang. But Maybe It will be better another time. I ate here before the flood and it was great.. Finally I was In Jacksonville Florida 2 years ago. There BBQ was great.. .. Hope the Next Experience is better......“
“I would give this restaurant 5 stars if the service matched the quality of the food. The food is great. The service is atrocious, incredibly slow and neglectful and deserves 1 star. But again, the food is their saving grace. I hope they can get it together in terms of front of the house operations.“
“Lizzie’s catered a work lunch and WOW. The food was amazing. It was hot and ready when I picked it up and everyone at my office absolutely loved the food. The owner, Ricky, is super sweet and a pleasure to work with. I will most definitely be returning to Lizzie’s Restaurant!!!“
“Mason's has great burgers, local flavor, and wonderful "Bloody Mason's". Their Sunday Brunch is awesome, but crowded. Get there early!Update 3/26/24 - new owners are still doing a great job. Try the banging shrimp burger!“
“No bells & whistles just go in & dine on home cooked food, or take out. Service staff on the line are polite. Service staff on the floor waiting tables are very busy and work hard & efficiently to take care of items you need or forgot. Tables & booths. Large restrooms.Vegetarian options: I usually get the 4-veggie plate with Galicia bread. Lots of salad & vegetable choices.Dietary restrictions: Labels are present on glass in front of food, but servers are knowledgeable if asked.Parking: Drive up area to leave guests for easy mobility to entry, several handicapped parking spots at front. Front & side parking.Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats & high chairs if needed. Servers help parents take little kids' trays to the table.Wheelchair accessibility: Non curb entry, large sliding doors or large entry with handled doors. Wide walkway area into line. Serve staff assits“

“Still the best value and most nutritious meal you can get in Baton Rouge for an affordable price.Okay, so I'm old. When I was a teenager and young adult there were several cafeterias successfully operating in the greater New Orleans area where I lived at the time. A&G cafeteria and Piccadilly or the two primary ones that come to mind but I know there were others as well in some parts of the city.As someone who likes to eat out without spending too much money, and often dining alone, I crave a balanced meal with REAL vegetables (no in my opinion potatoes do not count as they are mostly carbs and starch)... I really enjoy a cafeteria setup where you have options and know you can always count on them having several choices of healthy vegetables not drowning in sauce or butter. If you decide to try the Piccadilly cafeteria based on this review keep in mind timing is everything. Although they are open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 7 days a week excluding legal holidays, the best time to go for the freshest options on a steam line is around lunch time or dinner time. Like any other restaurant they want to minimize food waste, and although the types of items they serve keep fairly well on a steam line for a while... It's not as appetizing when you're viewing the line to choose your selection if the food item has been there for over an hour.Although the prices have gone up at the Piccadilly, so have prices everywhere else and the Piccadilly is still by far the best value for the money considering all that you get.I usually go to the Piccadilly cafeteria on Sherwood Forest as that is the one closest to me, but I'll occasionally stop at the one on Florida Boulevard too. Both restaurants are VERY dated in decor and could definitely use a renovation. However, the staff do a very good job keeping the facilities clean which is no easy feat when furniture and carpet are old.The wait staff are very attentive. As with most wait staff they are dependent on giving good service in order to get tips and make a living wage. I really appreciate the waitresses checking in a couple of times during the meal just in case I'd forgotten to ask for something. They do it in a friendly and non-intrusive way not two interrupt your meal but still make sure that you're not lacking for a sauce, or cup of coffee to finish your meal. It's sad to me that every time I go to the Piccadilly I almost always see people that are 50 plus years old. It's rare to see anyone in their 20s or 30s eating there. I think the younger generation could take a page from our old book and appreciate a well-balanced home cook styled meal without having to depend on all the razzle dazzle decor that newer restaurants offer for higher prices. It's not uncommon for me to go there to dine in for lunch or dinner, and because the food is filling and nutritious I often take nearly half of it home to eat the following day. That stretches my dollars even more.Yes, it's true that Piccadilly does not serve any alcohol. So I get that for some patrons seeking a place to eat, especially in the evening that's a mark against them since many younger patrons would like a beer or glass of wine or cocktail with their meal. But, a good well balanced meal for a fair price without an alcoholic a drink accompanying could be considered by the young crowd as a healthy alternative as well.“
“Not restaurant quality ambiance but if you want your go to seafood boil this is the place. From pig feet, turkey necks (whole), shrimp with jalapeños, crab legs, crayfish and more! You choose your crab legs in the freezer then they cook them seasoned in about 12min.“
“WOW! We had the best experience here at Tallulah Crafted Food and Wine bar. Our server Caitlin was the absolute best. She showed extensive knowledge of the menu and was able to recommend items catered to our taste. The ambience was breathtaking and we were able to experience high quality foods without the hassle of leaving the hotel. We are looking forward to our next trip down and each time we would like to work with Caitlin. Thank you so much for being a joy Caitlin!!!“
“Stopped by the O’Neal location after work last night to grab something to go. Got the pastalaya dinner plate. The pastalaya was hot, fresh, wonderfully seasoned and absolutely delicious. The potato salad was cold and creamy, a spectacular accompaniment to my main dish. The service from the staff was fast and friendly. Love this location of Rice and Roux.“
“Treated some friend who have never been to CB. They loved it, as I do. Everything on the menu is good. This is my comfort food. I go to CB for the biscuits but I enjoy everything. The service is usually excellent as well. Their employees are usually the best!Parking: Lots of parking all around the building. There is even parking for people pulling campers.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. They have booster seats and plastic cups and it is a family environmentWheelchair accessibility: The dining room and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. There are plenty if handicap parking spots but the store part of the restaurant can be too crowded for someone in a wheelchair to get around comfortably“
“If you're looking for good southern style BBQ this is a good choice. The BBQ leg quarter was cooked just right and full of flavor. The sides were equally as good. I had baked beans and spaghetti and cheese and it definitely satisfied my craving. Definitely will be visiting here regularly!“
