My wife and I went for a nice dinner with our son. We had been to Desi Vega in New Orleans several years ago and in Mandeville more recently, but this was our first visit to the Covington location. The wait staff were extremely pleasant and knowledgable regarding both the drink/wine list and menu. I had turtle soup....thick, rich base with plenty of turtle flavor. My wife and I split a filet and I'd have to say it was the best steak I've ever had....tender, full of flavor...
Was a frequent customer of Mandeville location until it closed. Covington location has the same superior service and food. Seasonal cocktails were amazing. The cost is average for two with drinks - appetizer, entree and desert with 3 cocktails was $285 plus tip. Pricey? Maybe but well worth it.
My husband and I shared our 30th wedding anniversary at Desi Vegas Steakhouse. It was amazing! I did my reservations over open table and made several special request that were followed to a tee. We ordered the amazing confetti cake to be brought out with a new wedding sets and that was a Wow moment.
