Love the food and just all around great place and people
When it takes over 30mins to get your food (2 sandwiches) thats underwhelming and overpriced, twice. It really makes you not return! I'm for giving places a second chance, but when you mess that up, there won't be a third. Spend your money elsewhere, this place isn't worth it!
If you sit at the bar and watch the food prep you will leave. I have never seen a more unsanitary staff than at the Covington Pelican. They have no gloves and touch food with bare hands, balance chicken and burgers on the edge of counters and the end of the grill, drop buns on the ground. I can see why people get sick eating here. The staff is very nice but badly needs a class on food prep.
