“Traveling across country. Googled highly rated restaurants and this came up. Don’t be deceived by the size of the building. I had the roast beef PoBoy with gravey. So delicious gravey, roast beef and the soft bun. Stop here it’s very good.”

“1. Dont judge a book by its cover... 2. So good I had to visit twice... We stopped by on our way to Flroida from Texas, and we arrived right when they opened. Unfortunately, a by-product of that was the cracklins weren't quite ready yet, so we got the regular boudin balls and the jalapeno cream cheese boudin balls... I was so blown away at the 100% pure awesomeness of this food that 1. I made it about three miles down the road, turned around, and went back for more and 2. I arranged our whole trip back home to Texas so I could arrive later in the day to hopefully try some of their cracklins, and boy, oh boy, i wasn't disappointed.... They were crispy, full of Cajun flavor and nice and warm. The Boudin balls were perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside... I paried it with a can of Dr Pepper and was in hog heaven... Dont sleep on this place. I have heard from many Louisiana natives that some of the best foods in the whole state are little shacks on the side of the road.... They were definitely not lying”

“Went there for the first time Saturday night. We had a good time. If you drink beer or a daiquiri you’re in good shape. I ask for a gin and tonic, no tonic. They had soda water, so I tried it, ok. Otherwise had a fun time listening to reflections and dancing.”

Hands Down Granddaughter had the chocolate Cake for Desert , She ate some there took some home ate some when we got home and I still have 1/2 a slice left over I had the crab cakes they were Delicious”

“The best Lo Mein I've ever had. I won't even eat Lo Mein at any other restaurant anymore because it never comes close to being as good as City Cafe. I can honestly say that anything I've ever eaten here is delicious and trust me I've tried just about everything on the menu. Not to mention the fact that the owners are so nice and the prices are very reasonable.”

“It was like taking a step back in time. I am confident that I was at Buche's 55 summers ago enjoying a burger and fries and I was there today without Rod Serling in Twilight Zone enjoying the same. The floors, walls and ceiling are still the same. Same pictures are hanging depicting a simpler time. Mrs. Buche wasn't tending bar or flipping burgers and Mr.Willie was not in his rocker in the corner behind the bar, but I nodded hello anyway. It was a great deal then and the food is still a bargain - comparing quality and quantity versus price. The visit brought back old memories of good times and good friends.”

“The fried chicken, fried shrimp, & fried onions rings are wonderful! We pick up at Island Landing at least once a week. Our picky 11 year old loves the fried chicken & the fried shrimp. Friendly service too!”

“Great place to hang out, great view, volleyball net and sand court. Nice floating dock for accessing from water and docking boat. Or using boat ramp.

Boat launch is a pay to use ramp. I think it’s $5. But worth it. If I’m going to south side of lake I use this ramp, if going to north side of the lake, I use the ramp in town. It’s worth the $5 to use the ramp, especially with the floating dock. It’s very nice to use. Also they have non ethanol premium 93 octane fuel on the water. Which is definitely the best thing to use in your boat. Definitely worth checking out this place.

Parking: Parking for tow vehicle with boat trailer. Costs to use boat ramp but worth it, since they have a nice floating dock to use for parking to visit from water or simply to use boat ramp.”
