“Went for deer processing and we had a great and easy experience. First of all I cannot express how friendly the staff is here. Peanut and his spouse Gabby were great to deal with. We explained being we have very young children (baby & toddler) we did not want the ground meat and sausage too spicy and they fulfilled. Most places when you say “not too spicy/hot” it is still way too hot for children. The best item/family favorite that I intended to write about are the burritos he made for us. Wow these were hands down delicious and up to par with any nice Mexican restaurant burritos you could get. We enjoyed them so much we wish we had ordered more. Now we know what and where we will be going for our deer processing ! Thank you so much.”

“My wife hired the Boiling Branch to cater a rehearsal supper, and we were well pleased. They delivered on time and were extremely helpful in serving up the crawfish. The crawfish had a very good flavor. The price was reasonable, and we would definitely consider going back with them for any future events.”

“The best Lo Mein I've ever had. I won't even eat Lo Mein at any other restaurant anymore because it never comes close to being as good as City Cafe. I can honestly say that anything I've ever eaten here is delicious and trust me I've tried just about everything on the menu. “We hosted a 50th Party at Not Your Mama's Cafe and we were over the top with our server and service. Drinks were fast, Food was out with little wait and we had a party of 30+ in attendance. I would absolutely recommend anyone having a party here. Call a couple days ahead with a head count so they will be prepared and you won't be disappointed.”

“I had stopped in at the Tiger truck stop and walked here.. let me tell you that it's definitely worth the walk.. (they do delivery to the truckstop too) this place is the best cajun place I've ever eaten at other than my buddy's house. The Bayou boil was perfect. The only problem with it was that it wasn't enough. And I'm not saying that it didn't fill me up or that it was small portions because the plate weighed about 1 to 3 pounds of seafood. I can honestly say that I was fuller than a stuffed turkey on Thanksgiving. I just didn't wanna stop eating after I took the first bite. Honestly, if they offered a buffet, then I still wouldn't have enough of the bayou boil. “Cool place in a small town. We were in town to visit hot tails. Went for a walk through town and stopped by false river to sit by the water. Stopped here afterwards for a drink. Tons of drinks on the ready. The lady was pretty friendly and the service was fast since we were the only ones there. No complaints. Will probably be by again next time we are there.”

“First time there today, and I ordered the turtle soup and porterhouse porkchop. The soup was extraordinary, and the sweet potatoe casserole was excellent as well. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, well presented, very thick and juicy, but lacked seasoning. The ribeye my coworker got looked freaking amazing. He said it tasted that way too. The restaurant was really clean and cozy and the servers were very polite and attentive. My only complaint was the food took a long time to come out and there weren't a lot of people there during our lunch. Arrived at noon and I left at 1:30pm. Besides that, I really look forward to going back to trying some other things.”

“First time customer of The Boiling Branch this weekend. We didn't find a single dead crawfish in two sacks. Crawfish were significantly larger than what we purchased last weekend. They did cost a little extra over the chain grocery stores but after factoring in quality , dead crawfish, and customer service I fell like I came out ahead.”

“Amazing food.I drive 2 hours away every few months just go get a taste. It's so worth it. Located on the water, the view is awesome. You can always see fish,ducks, and turtles. You can park by boat aswell. I highly recommend them. The wait staff is very friendly and fast aswell.”

“KENYA at SUBWAY did a really good job making my sandwiches (3). The sandwiches were really delicious! She was listening to me and was very calm when making the sandwiches. I asked her numerous times to do things a little late and she did a terrific job filing those requests late.I told her to add salt/pepper, apply avocado, and even oil late by accident, and she was very calm and skillful in figuring out solutions for TERRIFIC customer service!I would definitely ask for her to make my sandwiches when I go to New Roads Walmart again!”

“I only got the steak sandwich and onion rings.. it was good for what it was. Price wasn't too bad it was on a big hamger bun. “So I chose to eat out on Christmas eve and most places closed early. This place was open till 11p. I ordered a ribeye steak. It was very tender and though I cut some fat off it was large in size. My baked potato was good but not baking hot. It was definitely reheated in the microwave, it could have used a few more minutes. A plus to this place was the large variety of bottled beer to choose from. My pick was Red Stripe, so smooth.”

“this subway has come up a lot . it has to be under new management . my food is always hot & delicious . staff finish my order in timely manner and the store is clean besides the reconstruction clutter in the corner . owner needs to get that fixed asap besides that this is one of my favorite subways .”
