“They had a special menu advertised for Mother's Day. However, for such a special occasion, they did not plan for staff/server absences. Many tables were not being used on the patio area, because they were short of servers. This was poor planning. To take your Mother or anyone for such an occasion and endure a 3+ hour wait is unacceptable.”

“Been eating at Ma Mama’s for past 4 years multiple times per month, mostly lunch time. I have never had a bad dish and have tried the whole menu. I have traveled the world and eaten at some amazing restaurants, Ma Mama’s is my favorite for Louisiana cooking in the Baton Rouge area. Service can be slower at times, but never experienced rudeness. I enjoy the occasional new item on the menu to try new tastes. I will continue to enjoy a wonderful dining experience at Ma Mama’s.”

“Good burger. Monday lunch at about 1:00. We both had a single patty cheeseburger with fries and a drink. Meaty burger but had a dry texture and not a lot of flavor. The bun and condiments were good and fresh. The wait time was long so order ahead of you can.”

At least they gave me real utensils. ** Wonderful locally owned, home-cooking cafe, and open on Mondays when some places are closed. Weekly specials. Love the meatloaf, but the mashed potatoes taste like instant, bleh but edible. Breakfast all day is great. Staff are so nice and welcoming. I've been about 3 or 4 times. Just wish mashed potatoes were from scratch.”

I ordered the “Ginnie Sandwich.” It had sausage, pulled pork, and brisket… It was huge, and soooo good! Every bite was amazing!!! It’s a must try!
