I’ve been a patron of Izzo’s for over 15 years, from Baton Rouge, to Magazine, and now this location. Though it’s old, it feels new inside and is clean and well kept. The food hasn’t changed in over 15 years and I have to give mad respect where it’s due because the consistency is incredible. The flavors are fresh and way better than Chipotle, and the service here is always friendly. I will come from as far as Slidell for the food. Thank you to this...read full review
Illegal burrito was delicious. Man preparing my food was confused and moving slow, probably new. Burrito sat for a bit while he started my friend's which let everything cool down. Then served our food on the metal kitchen trays rather than plastic dining ones. Weird experience but I've never been mad while eating a 3 pound burrito.
Great staff!

Izzo's Illegal Burrito serves food that meets expectations, but customer service could be better. There is no acknowledgment when entering the restaurant, and customers have noted issues with order mistakes and a lack of apologies. However, the food remains a highlight, with options like the SUPER BURRITO featuring bold flavors such as juicy chicken, smoky sweet roasted corn, and loaded rice and beans. The restaurant also offers a tasty $8.99 taco special, ideal for a quick meal. Some customers appreciate the variety of choices available, comparing it to other “build your own burrito/bowl” places, but note that Izzo's is much better. While some burritos may be overly filled with rice and beans, the overall flavor experience is still enjoyable, especially for those who have tried the spicy chicken in a cayenne wrapper, which has received positive feedback.
