“It was like taking a step back in time. I am confident that I was at Buche's 55 summers ago enjoying a burger and fries and I was there today without Rod Serling in Twilight Zone enjoying the same. The floors, walls and ceiling are still the same. Same pictures are hanging depicting a simpler time. Mrs. Buche wasn't tending bar or flipping burgers and Mr.Willie was not in his rocker in the corner behind the bar, but I nodded hello anyway. It was a great deal then and the food is still a bargain - comparing quality and quantity versus price. The visit brought back old memories of good times and good friends.”

“1. Dont judge a book by its cover... 2. So good I had to visit twice... We stopped by on our way to Flroida from Texas, and we arrived right when they opened. Unfortunately, a by-product of that was the cracklins weren't quite ready yet, so we got the regular boudin balls and the jalapeno cream cheese boudin balls... I was so blown away at the 100% pure awesomeness of this food that 1. I made it about three miles down the road, turned around, and went back for more and 2. I arranged our whole trip back home to Texas so I could arrive later in the day to hopefully try some of their cracklins, and boy, oh boy, i wasn't disappointed.... They were crispy, full of Cajun flavor and nice and warm. The Boudin balls were perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside... I paried it with a can of Dr Pepper and was in hog heaven... Dont sleep on this place. I have heard from many Louisiana natives that some of the best foods in the whole state are little shacks on the side of the road.... They were definitely not lying”

“There is not one negative thing that I can say about this place. The restaurant is absolutely adorable. When you walk in, you instantaneously have a smile on your face. The menu is displayed in such a chic , creative way. The menu is full and amazing. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. The prices still blow me away. You can not go anywhere that I know of and get the amount of food for the price as you can here. The employees are so kind and personable. “🥰Stopped in for a late lunch and ordered a chocolate Martini I LOVE A GOOD Chocolate Martini and I've had good and bad ones. THIS WAS THE BEST I EVER HAD. Hands Down Granddaughter had the chocolate Cake for Desert , She ate some there took some home ate some when we got home and I still have 1/2 a slice left over I had the crab cakes they were Delicious”

“The best Lo Mein I've ever had. I won't even eat Lo Mein at any other restaurant anymore because it never comes close to being as good as City Cafe. I can honestly say that anything I've ever eaten here is delicious and trust me I've tried just about everything on the menu. Not to mention the fact that the owners are so nice and the prices are very reasonable.”

“Pretty solid spot if you’re craving a ton of Chinese food. They got all the classics, general Tso’s, lo mein, jalapeño chicken and everything was fresh. Services was chill and the place was clean. Come in the morning when it first open for the freshest food. Definitely more option on the to-go menus. Not fancy, but definitely hits the spot.”
