“Stopped in for brunch before a show at the Saenger. We mainly chose here because of the convenience, but we’re so glad we did! Food was excellent and staff was very friendly. Our children enjoyed everything too! Mofongo was delicious and I appreciated the mocktail the bartender made for my daughter. 10/10 recommend.“

“Found this gem of a spot and what a delicious first meal of our trip! Shrimp taco, steak taco, pork taco, quesadilla- all were SO good! We all left the table satisfied! We sat outside and enjoyed people watching while we ate. The patio was comfortable and had so much to see.“

Their food is incredible—authentic Honduran flavors and some other Latin favorites that you won't find anywhere else in the city. “Vibrant fun spot with great indoor/outdoor seating and good food and drinks. Dip trio was nice, particularly liked the queso, it was smooth with nice cheese flavor. Chips for me were perfection. Very thin and warm absolutely great. The shishito peppers were also a hit with our group. Not sure if we got several of the 1/10 hot ones or if it was the spices they were dusted with but they carried great heat. I really like empanadas and these did not disappoint. Perfectly golden brown, crispy and flaky crust with nice filling. Highly recommend. Some of our group really enjoyed the coconut rice but I unfortunately did not. I have never had it before so I can't say if this is what it typically tastes like. Great cocktails that did have some heat which was great. Will definitely return.“

“Stopped in to get lunch, Stephen & I just loved it! Pupusas were good as was the liver dinner, but the empanadas were off the hook! So good we couldn’t wait and ate them right the in the parking lot, lol! Also important, every one was wearing masks, keeping distance, staff and customers, thank you so much for that.“

“The Carmo salad was fresh with a delicious dressing. Daily rice and beans were perfectly flavored and extremely filling. I suggest splitting them so you can try more dishes!
Plenty of vegetarian options and they were happy to leave it off of other dishes if we wanted. The bread service was worth adding on too!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of options and many of the dishes were easy to request without meat!“

“We had ropa vieja and con gris - excellent the platanitos were perfect. The place looks like a hole in the wall but the food is amazing. Don't be deceived this restaurant is very good and well priced. The people working in the restaurant make you feel like you are in your Nicaraguan grandmother's. I'm not Nicaraguan but if I were this would be my grandparents house. Loved the experience.“

“Let me get by saying this is one of the cutest little restaurants I’ve ever seen. It was really cozy. I started with the carrot and orange juice while I waited on my food and it was so delicious. The staff was super friendly and kept me company while I waited on my order. I’m at Maria the owners daughters who are super sweet, Angelica helped me with figuring out what I wanted to order, Irbiana brought the food out to me, well, Natalie and Beberlin cashed me out. Everything looks so good online and so were the reviews so I ordered a bunch of different things … pictures coming shortly :)“

“Nice place to dance, the DJ mixes a great variety of genres and keeps the ambient lively. The only thing I would suggest to keep in mind is the entrance charge (cover) I would understand if they had a live band or something that would merit the charge. They serve beer buckets which is good for those that enjoy beer. They also have a pretty descent variety.I would give this place a 3.5 stars ? ? ?“

“I was finally able to scratch that Jamaican food itch(mostly) that I'd been craving. Not sure why it took me so long to make it over here as I frequent several other businesses in the area. As such I came to my senses and stopped by on a nice afternoon for lunch. I kept it basic with the jerk chicken plate and their crawfish stuffed plantain. I was thinking it would be something similar to mufongo, but they were completely different. Super tasty little cups Caribbean crawfish joy. Then there was the massive jerk chicken plate that seemed like it had half a chicken worth of food plus. I was advised to stick with the mild as the hot is extremely hot, but I'm morbidly curious after my 1st try. The mild did have a decent amount of heat, but nothing I would consider spicy. But I know once you start adding scotch bonnets things can quickly escalate. And I don't know if the greens were callaloo or not, but they were delicious. It was nice out so I was able to sit at one of their patio tables and take in the fact that a week earlier it was snowmeggedeon here. The service was outstanding, you could literally feel the warmth and love walking in. It was like walking into my Aunt's kitchen when I was little, 'Hey beybey, you need anything, what can I get for?'. Kids walking home from school would stop in and say hi! I'm holding that 5th star hostage until I can get one of those patties. I'm still craving one and they were unfortunately out of them. They're cash or payment apps only, no credit/debit cards.
Kid-friendliness: Very much so
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a small ramp and not a step at the entrance.“

“Excellent food... Unbelievably affordable. I live close and order frequently. Discovering that they had an English version of their menu made dinner time less surprising but I've enjoyed everything I've ended up with. Always fresh and authentic , generous portions. And Its easy to get full on around $10...even their steak and shrimp dishes are $12-13. Can't recommend it enough...“

“This was recommended to me for Honduras food. It did not disappoint. My friend who recommended it translated the menu for me. Most of the items I understood from seeing them elsewhere. Not knowing how to speak Spanish did not stop me from ordering over the phone to take out. They were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious!“

“Food was good, however not as depicted on the menu. Do not recommend the tamales as an appetizer as nothing is as described. Lunch is much better than dinner. Staff appeared to be younger so maybe not as experienced???? They were super nice so not a customer service problem so again I think just an experience problem????“
“Wonderful food, fast service, and good prices for what you receive. A covered outside space with picnic tables but has a sign saying "To go only. No out side sitting available" which leads to confusion. Bright yellow trailer next to a ballpark/park area and ice machine.“

“Read my full review to learn about the unexpected charge that gets added on. So the food is good, location could be better. The sign is barely visible, if you drove up at night, you wouldn't know from looking that it was a restaurant. Parking lot looks sketchy af. Tables inside are covered with cigarette burns, there's no vibe to the dining area. The food makes up for the weak atmosphere. I did find it strange that there's an automatic 15% gratuity on the check that you don't know about before ordering. That's with the owner serving, not a waitress. I normally tip 20-30% but with the unexpected tip added to the check, I didn't feel like tipping past the 15%. I get doing an automatic gratuity for tables of 4-6 people. But for just one or two people dining in? I would eat there again. But they really need to fix the place up, or at least update the sign outside to one that can be read. I like hole in the wall restaurants, but this place and the strip mall looks a bit too much like you're in DR.“

“Breakfast was delicious, and service was great. Will definitely return.UPDATE 01/2024 - I've been back so many times since first review; in fact, I recently went for breakfast and lunch on the same day. The servings are humongous, enough for two meals in my case. I have done dine-in and takeout, service is always exceptional. This place has become my favorite Honduran restaurant, and I am honored to patronize my fellow Hondurans. ??“
