Based on the reviews, Chateau Café is a gem of a cafe with outstanding food and friendly staff. The chicken salad sandwiches are a favorite for board meetings, and the Elvis Breakfast and Fried Catfish special are delicious. The banana waffle has good taste, though it was cold, and the coffee is good. The chicken salad salad is amazing, extra large with blueberries and strawberries on a bed of lettuce, but has a $4.50 upcharge. The tables are spaced apart so customers do not feel too close to strangers. The staff is friendly, courteous, and honest; one reviewer’s mom forgot something in the ladies' room, and it was found and waiting for them the next day. However, one experience involved a mistake with a chai latte order, where a latte was given instead, and the reviewer was accused of not paying. The server’s family stepped into the conversation, making the environment uncomfortable. The food is good, and most staff are friendly, but it is recommended to get a receipt for every order to avoid issues.
