We ate lunch, arrived a little before 1 pm (lunch closes at 2 pm, reopens later for dinner). Missed the lunch rush-nice! I live out of state and was last there about 1.5 years ago. Ordered the #1, enjoyed it (the prices are higher similar to most eateries) but I was disappointed in the tortilla chips. Seems the brand changed and they taste like those off the grocery store shelf-they used to taste like nice deli chips. Otherwise, the atmosphere was what it's always been-attractive...
Most of the low reviews are just sad. They amount to people not being local and expecting this to be a more formal environment OR locals that were regulars yet still surprised at this being a very local hangout restaurant full of locals even after multiple visits. Can't fix stupid.This place often has extremely long waits... most places will never be able to cook a meal worth waiting 2+hours if you are already hungry no matter how good they really are.Come early or come willing...
