EXCELLENT, JUST EXCELLENT ! As one has spent decades in Corpus Christi, Austin, Galveston, Brownsville & Houston; this is the BEST of the "Mexican // Tex-Mex" choices in the Lafayette region. It is worth the few minutes drive up IH49. Rick

Great atmosphere. Always quick service. Love their crawfish etouffe' "Cajun Chimichanga." Margaritas are killer--barely taste the tequilla, but feel it fine. Only reason i didnt rate 5 stars was because when we went tonight, my ole lady's rice was hard as a rock, all clumped together, and obviously what was all dried out from the bottom of the pot. However, the last time we went, there were no issues and it was pretty late when we went tonight, so i didnt complain.

Being vegan in Lafayette comes with challenges when looking for a restaurant. Thank you Picantes for giving me a delicious & safe option!! Not only is the food yum, the staff is educated in vegetarian & veganism. All of the staff that has served me has shared that the owners are vegetarian & take it very seriously that their customers have this option. I love the veggie fajitas!
