I really like to encourage small businesses and buy from them . But you get a 16 ounces cup of coffee that’s half full , the coffee has no espresso taste , warm more toward the cold side not hot and you pay more than what you would pay at Starbucks , no thanks . The employees were nice and and fast though .

Great coffee house!

Don’t pass this opportunity to experience the chance to meet a staff of friends, artistic customer's, comfortable seating, and great coffee. On a short visit to the city of Lake Charles this coffee shop was recommended by a few locals. We decided to give it a try. Walking in you are greeted the all so pleasant smell of fresh ground coffee beans, the wonderful smiles of Chelsea and her family and some amazing art by locals artists. Go with the recommendations, you will not be disappointed. Thank you staff and friends that made the visit so enjoyable. The coffee and beignets were absolutely amazing.

Local nice space themed coffee shop. They even wrote a special, “Happy wedding day!” for the bride I was picking up coffee for which was very sweet for her special day.

Great local coffee and sandwich shop. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing! Dog friendly, local art, fun interior, organic fair trade and easy parking right out front. I'll be back.

I enjoy their hypersprites vanilla and pistachio its definitely a chill vibe!

According to the manager, I received a hot coffee instead of an iced because I selected hot when self placing my order at the kiosk.

No options or solutions on how to get the iced coffee I was expecting. Just “you ordered it that way” and turned away.

Eventually I asked a different barista who walked by if I wanted to have the incorrect coffee iced, “would I have to pay for another?”, she was super sweet and said “I’ll remake it no problem”

the manager interjected and said “the thing is, if you want an ice coffee you’ll have to pay again because it wasn’t our error”

I responded with “can I get a cup of ice to pour the hot coffee over?”

And the barista (with common sense) swiftly provided a cup with ice.

I’m not sure why the manager couldn’t think up this simple solution. No problem solving skills.

One would think a manager would have the know how to say “ohh I’m sorry, your order requested for a hot coffee, I wouldn’t be able to remake that one, but I can definitely help placed an order for the iced coffee, alternatively I can give you a large cup of ice to pour it over if you’d like.”

This manager however had absolutely nothing going on in that brain of hers.

Anyway, aside from the lousy manager, the younger barista was very sweet.

The coffees are pretty blah. Not sure they can even be called coffees

Why was the signature coffee out of stock by 9:30 am?

Despite the lackluster coffee, I did like the atmosphere enough to patron here 2 consecutive days in a row. I will be in lake Charles for another week, but will definitely avoid spending another dime here.

Great spot for a Cappuccino and Bignets - visited on the run from New Orleans to Houston and we got a great coffee ☺️

Been here several times... even made special trips all of the way from Houston to come, but we ordered online at 12:52 while we were driving there yesterday and even called and left a message saying that we'll be there about 20 minutes before close...
They had canceled our order and told us that we couldn't get food.
We'll miss the food, but definitely not the service!

I ate here once 7 years ago and have never stopped thinking about this place ever since. The breakfast sandwich was so good i swore it HAD to be a fluke because it was MIND BLOWING for me. I finally got the chance to come back 7 years later and the sandwich only improved with time (how improving from perfection is possible, I have no idea, but they did it). The coffee is fantastic and the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. The owner is hands on here in the shop, consistently ensuring the highest quality he can provide.

I would move to Lake Charles for the sheer fact that this coffee shop exists. Out of every little secret breakfast/lunch nook I’ve enjoyed in the US, this is by far the best spot in quality, price, and just straight up talent in knowing how to create and blend the best flavors. Whenever I think I have a new favorite, I always compare it with Stellar Beans (don’t worry, y’all have never been dethroned as #1 for me). I love this place and will bring all of my guests here every time I pass through.

I was looking forward to getting a coffee and supporting this small business, but unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a hot latte, and the barista mistakenly prepared it iced. Instead of correcting the error, I was told I would need to pay for a new drink. Since this was not what I ordered or enjoy, I ended up throwing the drink away. Customer service and customer satisfaction did not seem to be a priority. Sadly, I will not be returning or recommending this place to others.
