Akira Sushi Hibachi Reviews
Rude staff! Would not seat us at RESERVED table until 6 of 8 people got there. Overpriced wine! $12.95 for a 6 oz pour of HOUSE. Small salads, no shrimp appetizer, chef threw scrambled eggs instead of the traditional shrimp. Far too expensive to provide a below-average meal.
Terrible service! Made a reservation and when I got there ON TIME told I was to wait 50 minutes !!! Will never go again !
The food is okay, the order was messed up. Not a big deal. Someone with me had a large piece of cucumber in the bottom of her tea that when she sucked it up put her off her food. Again, stuff happens. Time for the check and our party of 5 is getting the 6+ person built in gratuity. Simple mistake that was rectified? No. Not at all. Arguing, muttering under breath from the waiter. Made up arguments that can’t be proved anywhere. Fine. We would’ve left more than the 18% anyway,...read full review

Akira Sushi Hibachi offers good food, including fresh and tasty sushi rolls. The hibachi plates and seafood boils are top-tier but pricey, with an LSU roll being a favorite. The sushi side is great, and the hibachi side is delicious and entertaining, making it a popular choice for many customers. The restaurant provides a fun experience of watching the chef cook in front of diners, which adds to the enjoyment. The service is friendly, and the restaurant is always clean, although parking can be challenging due to the small lot and busy area. Some issues include a ventilation system that was lacking and grease buildup behind the grill, as well as slick floors that pose a slip hazard. The restaurant could use some repairs, as some floor tiles are damaged, and staff sometimes rushes to clear tables quickly. Despite these drawbacks, many customers feel the food is worth it, especially the all-you-can-eat sushi rolls and the deep-fried roll. Overall, Akira Sushi Hibachi remains a popular spot for good sushi and hibachi dining.
