My wife and I decided to go to New Orleans in August (2023) - the travel rates are much lower and places not as busy (of course, some are on limited hours as a result). Everything good that people say about this place is not enough. The place is always packed but still charming and comfortable. The food is incredible. The best beignets I have ever had and I doubt will have this good somewhere else.

I've been to smaller Du Monde locations but this was my first time at the Jackson Square location. It was a great experience. I was able to go for breakfast two days in a row. Frozen cafe au lait and an order of beignets is all I need to start my day. There was great music playing right outside the restaurant. It couldn't have been more perfect.
