Fantastic food and service, I can count on one hand the number of restaurants where my water was filled right after it was emptied. The nachos we're huge and we're hands down the best I've ever had.
When I think of El Fogon a few words come to mind. Authentic, consistency, and burritos! It's hard to come by an authentic mexican restuarant in the New Orleans area in general, so I feel pretty lucky that El Fogon set up shop pretty close to my home in Metairie. They're located in the same building that used to be Taco Tico, but have seriosuly taken the food and service to another level. We tried El Fogon for the first time at lunch and were impressed. Their chips were fresh and their salsa and guacamole were both quite good. Everything we had was excellent, including a Chile Relleno with steak fajita, a shrimp fajita, a chimichanga, and tres leches. We will be back.
