“Yes yes yes. I finally was able to sit down and eat here while I was in town and it’s 10/10. I came on a Sunday when they had meatloaf and mashed potatoes, but of course I had to get some sides to try. My favorites were the smothered green beans and potatoes and pickle cheese (enough to where I’d get those every time I come in if they’re on the menu). Also, those ✨wings✨ omg. They’re habanero pineapple white BBQ wings, but don’t be scared - they’re not overly spicy. I’d say they’re more smoky than spicy. So good. The smothered okra and pot roast were also flavorful and delicious.

The restaurant itself has a very retro/vintage vibe that I think goes really well with the homemade cooking, and the service is very good. I was able to bring my favoritest boy (my dog Cashew) onto the back patio where we enjoyed a late lunch. I’ll be back!“

“Pulled pork and jerk bbq sauce were delicious. The jerk bbq sauce is the best I’ve ever eaten (so far). Customer service is lacking, my takeout order wasn’t received and they didn’t want to fulfill the order. I wouldn’t recommend this location based upon the customer service but I do recommend the jerk bbq sauce.“

“Pretty chill spot. Wasn't very busy on a Tuesday evening before a Pelicans game. It's a 10-minute walk if you're here for a Saints or Pelicans game. Food and beer were decent. Turkey was spot on Dirty Rice wqs better than velveta sheels and cheese. I tried their Pilsner called Fess which has heavier taste, similar to a Budwieser. Their BBQ sauce had a slight spice to it, but slapped pretty good. The mustard and vinegar not up my alley so that's gonna be a no for me dawg. Old school games available to play, but it's kinda pricey. Worth a stop even if it's just for a snack amd drink.“

“0n a recommendation from our small haunted hotel we hit MRB for lunch. The catfish po boy was outstanding. Their drink specials were just right and reasonably priced. Two days later, we went back to try the alligator sandwich and some charbroiled oysters also spot Definitely would not call this a tourist trap. It’s like most of Nola, funky, functional and fun. This place has an unassuming, but cozy sit-down bar with cushioned seats. These small accoutrements are just what a Canal and Bourbon Street wanderer needs for Super Bowl weekend.“

All of us were beyond satisfied with our meals. Delicious flavors and good portion sizes too! We said we will come back to Myrtle Beach (from PA) just to come back here 😂. Hear me when I say (or type), the brisket nachos was a 20 out of 10! Never had anything like it but was thoroughly impressed. Hopefully I get a chance to experience them again soon in Jax.
