“Not sure why the reviews are low. But the food here was absolutely amazing!! The tots are seasoned and drenched in cheese and jalapeños are to die for!!Only thing I would recommend urgently is that the place needs a deep cleaning. I know it’s a lot of fried food so the oil residue is everywhere and visible by look and touch.“

If you’re planning to stop by, get there early there’s always a long line, and since everything is fresh, they do sell out! I had the Red Beans and Rice with Sausage and the Greens. Unbelievable! The Greens were incredible. Sweet and savory at once.

My daughter had the smoked wings. Excellent! The Green beans and Mac & cheese were awesome.

My son had the stewed chicken over rice WOW!

My wife had the fried chicken breast with creamed mashed potatoes. So good!

Huge portions and friendly no frills casual atmosphere.

Best meal we had on this trip!

“All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!! Hands down one of if not the best BBQ place I have ate at. I got the lg rib plate with the add on chicken wings and my husband got the 1/2 chicken and we shared to try it all and man when I say it was amazing it was amazing. The sweet potato casserole was so good. The green beans where just alright but the corn, macaroni and cheese and the baked beans were really and did I say really good. Thanks for not disappointing us we drove two hours to get there and will 100% be back sooner rather than later.“

This place has an unassuming, but cozy sit-down bar with cushioned seats. These small accoutrements are just what a Canal and Bourbon Street wanderer needs for Super Bowl weekend.“

“0n a recommendation from our small haunted hotel we hit MRB for lunch. The catfish po boy was outstanding. Their drink specials were just right and reasonably priced. Two days later, we went back to try the alligator sandwich and some charbroiled oysters also spot Definitely would not call this a tourist trap. It’s like most of Nola, funky, functional and fun. Don’t confuse with Mr bs“

“Pulled pork and jerk bbq sauce were delicious. The jerk bbq sauce is the best I’ve ever eaten (so far). Customer service is lacking, my takeout order wasn’t received and they didn’t want to fulfill the order. I wouldn’t recommend this location based upon the customer service but I do recommend the jerk bbq sauce.“

“We visited this Swig and Swine location yesterday. It was an absolute wonderful experience! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with big smiles! Everyone was so friendly! We were already happy with our decision to give it a try without even ordering yet! Our waitress was fantastic! We had a nice window table to see the sun shining on the water. When the food came out it was perfect. I got the PB&J wings and hubby got the catfish! EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS! Our cups stayed full and we legit had a great time! “We stopped here recently while traveling, and I am still thinking about their breakfast burrito a week later! The creole potatoes inside were perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. And the seafood cheese sauce? Oh man was it good! I didn’t even think to take pictures.
