Budsi’s Authentic Thai is a must-visit spot in New Orleans, located just outside the French Quarter. Known for its incredible papaya salad, hibiscus and Thai tea, and delicious green curry and Tom Yum. The pumpkin curry softshell crab is out of this world, along with a variety of traditional Thai dishes like chicken satay, Khao soi, mango sticky rice, and the Somtam Papaya Salad Set w/ grilled pork shoulder. The food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions and perfectly cooked sticky rice. The roti is also great, and the prices are very low. With quick service and a clean, comfortable setting, this restaurant is highly recommended for anyone looking for a great Thai meal in NOLA. Some dishes pack a spicy punch, like the crab-flavored salad, but the flavors are worth it. While the service is efficient, larger groups should note the 18% gratuity policy.
