“Fantastic spot to eat at for breakfast, if you’re not wanting to leave the hotel. This restaurant is located on the third floor, directly across from the Vitascope restaurant! This is a brunch style restaurant that is open from 7am-10am, Mon-Sunday. (Those times are for breakfast only!) The food here was so good, that I honestly didn’t want to go anywhere for breakfast. They had everything you can imagine here, including building your own omelette and waffle! Not to mention a healthy authentic juice bar. Now there is a set price that is paid when you first enter the restaurant because it is buffet style that is around $27, card only!“

“Hot Wok Buffet & Lounge is a casual Chinese buffet stop in the Chalmette area that’s all about variety and value. It’s not downtown New Orleans proper, but if you’re craving all-you-can-eat in a relaxed setting with a wide range of Asian-inspired dishes — from sushi and stir-fries to classic Chinese comfort foods — this is the kind of place where you can happily fill your plate and go back for more.

The vibe here is unpretentious and laid-back — think casual buffet with big portions and options that suit lunch or dinner without fuss. The menu has a mix of seafood, rice and noodle dishes, dim sum-style bites, and even some American favorites tucked into the spread. It’s the sort of spot that’s perfect if you want to graze through lots of flavors without spending too much.

That said, some people feel the food quality can be inconsistent and that not every dish hits the mark — but the friendly service and the all-you-can-eat buffet format keep the experience fun and satisfying overall.

For me, Hot Wok is best approached with an open mind and a big appetite — it’s simple, hearty, and stuffed with options that make it feel like a casual feast rather than a refined meal“
