Very fresh . served hot and topped just right. I get my caramel on the side. Definitely hard just eating one but I scarf up one before leaving the cafe and it shol was delicious. I saved the rest for indulging in the privacy of my hotel room so I can enjoy with my movie . #Burp
This place is right next to my hotel, so I went there today. The coffee is great, beignets come out hot and there was a local jazz band - the atmosphere was great!
So, I was passing through and stopped at Cafe Beignet. I believe I was on Decauter street. Anyway, the young man was nice. They were getting ready to close, but he made sure I got some hot and fresh beignets. I wish I remembered his name (young African American with dreads that was working July 3rd) I will definitely go back again

Café Beignet, Bourbon Street is a popular spot in New Orleans, known for their delicious beignets. The atmosphere is calmer and slightly quieter compared to Café Du Monde, with attentive and fast service that handles to-go orders well, keeping the beignets hot and fresh. The beignets are lighter and fluffier, closer to a traditional donut texture, with a little chew, and come in generous portions. They also offer variations like chocolate beignets, which add a nice twist. The vibe was great, with outdoor seating, live music, and a lively ambiance, including garden statues and greenery that create a relaxing setting. The live music often features local bands, and sometimes young musicians join in, making for a cool experience. Despite some feedback about chairs being uncomfortable and music being loud, the overall atmosphere is enjoyable. The hot chocolate and beignets are fabulous, and the location’s convenience, along with its great food, earns it a 5-star rating—just remember it’s cash only and outside food or drinks are not allowed. Visitors can enjoy people-watching, live music, and tasty treats that make this spot worth the visit.
