Desire Oyster Bar offers a great dining experience. The oyster bar is a highlight, with friendly staff, including Gus and Robert, who provide impeccable service. The restaurant is a good alternative to other options, and many guests love the place for its delicious food and fantastic service. The oysters are a must-try, and the desserts are also commendable. The establishment is conveniently connected to the Royal Sonesta Hotel, making it a convenient choice. Guests enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner here, with the bloody Mary’s being a standout. While some staff members at the front door may seem sub-par, the majority are grown-ups who deliver above-average service. Many visitors have been coming since 1996 and praise how great things get better with time. Despite minor service issues, the restaurant remains a must-visit in New Orleans.
