Wow. What a cool, unexpected experience in NOLA. If you love coffee and have any interest in the bean to cup process, you gotta drop in. Huge selection of greens and processes. Thank you Rhea and Josh for the great customer service and the shop dogs for the sweet love.

Brilliant business model. We were drawn in by the sign out front claiming we could learn to roast coffee in 10 minutes. They have fresh, green beans from all over and washed in a multitude of methods that you can choose from. Once you pick your beans, you use a countertop roasting device to roast them to your preferred level. Rhea and Josh were so attentive and friendly, and the shop dogs Fletcher and Tucker were affectionate. Highly recommend.

We took the coffee cupping class which is a class that explains coffee and various varieties and types. This was a fascinating class and this shop is not like any I have been to. You purchase unroasted coffee and can roast at home or right in the shop. I am not a coffee drinker and I found this shop and class absolutely fascinating. The rest of my group are coffee drinkers and also learned a lot more about coffee. I’m sure my explanations are not doing justice to this shop but highly recommend visiting if not for a class to explore the shop.

We did a coffee roasting class @currentcroprs today. I highly recommend it. So much fun. The class is small and intimate. About 8 of us. The instructor is very knowledgeable and patience with our questions. We learn how to roast green coffee beans to light, medium, and dark. Super cute shop and friendly staff that will help you choose the right beans for ya. They have a large variety of green beans to choose from at a very affordable price . Once you purchase it, they'll roast it in store for you, on the spot. Or you can roast it to your liking. No extra charge for roasting, just pay the price of green beans! They also sell some pretty cool roasting equipment and more. We'll definitely be back. Check out their social media for upcoming classes such as cupping and art coffee classes!

This shop is truly special and a rare find. They stock and sell green, unroasted coffee from around the world. The selection is staggering. After making your selection, you can roast it right in the shop. And the coffee prices are so inexpensive, $12 for a pound for my selection. Very friendly staff. I learned so much. Home roasting equipment also for sale. A kind of local heaven for three true coffee devotee.

This place is so lovely. I just happened to walk by and got pulled in by a free coffee sample and the option to roast some beans. I was helped by Seth, who was so nice and good at explaining everything. Roasting the beans was fun and informative as a long time coffee drinker. They were also able to grind them for me which was really appreciated. I hope the employees get commission because it was really great service. I don't live in NOLA so i can't make it to any classes but if they're as informative as this experience was I'm sure they're great.

Please do yourself a favor if you're a coffee lover and go visit this place in New Orleans! We wandered in as my mission for our trip was "bring home some good beans". Luckily I found the perfect place. The person upfront that day was awesome! Super helpful. We chose two of the I believe 70 something different beans they offer. The person helped us roast our beans to a ledium roast (thanks for laughing at my bad pun too). We received so much cool information about roasting techniques, learned about their experience classes available, and walked out with two EXTREMELY CHEAP bags of beans. In my home town a bag of beans is anywhere from $20-30 but my two bags were "some of the more expensive in the store" at just $7 and $10 that was the craziest part.

What you really need is a smell feature on yelp. If it existed, you would be instantly transported into a coffee wonderland. This is the perfect spot to get your food science nerd on and pick country of origin, type of bean, all the things and make your perfect coffee at home. They offer classes and on site instruction. A class would make a great activity for visitors celebrating birthdays or weddings or whatever. The staff is great, answering all my very basic questions... Because I don't actually drink coffee. I know the horror. But they also sell coffee related accessories so a pour over set up might be in someone's future. Parking is on the street and the shop is in a vintage house so it's a few steps up. I don't know if they have accessibility options.

What a find! A wide selection of beans from around the world, which will be roasted and ground according to a customer's preference. Incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable staff. I'll be back!

A true GEM ? if you’re into specialty coffee. Love their variety of coffees and especially staff’s knowledge. Also even better is that they offer classes that really get you to the next level!! Would come to NOLA just for this. So glad to have found this place and taken classes here with Catherine. Wishing them all the best ❤️

We ran across this place while exploring the Garden District in NOLA and it was one of the coolest coffee roasting experiences I have had! They have so many varieties of green coffee beans from various regions and the associates educate you on the nuaces of flavors and how the roasting process works. You get to see your coffee be roasted right infront of you and you can taste the quality in your cup when you get home to brew it.

I wandered off the street one day into Current Crop. They fixed me up with some coffee which was delicious. Since then I have gone full into roasting my own. Katherine and Ezra are the best.
