Estrella Steak & Lobster

The BBQ Shrimp here is mind blowing, the people are lovely, the bartenders are pros, and the atmosphere is cinematic. My experience here was a genuine welcome to New Orleans. I'll never forget it. And every time I'm back in town, I'll visit Estrella and catch up with real friends I made there. Estrella will always hold a special place in my heart.

We had a great experience here. The food was great, our server was amazing and the owner took interest in every customer. Our party of five enjoyed the food and recommend this restaurant. It may seem a little dated on the decor, but top notch in everything that matters!

OMG! This was one of the absolutely best meals I've ever had! Between the service (ask for Chris!), food, music, and overall ambiance (yes, I had to Google that for the spelling), and company, Meg!

Next time, or if you're ever in New Orleans, you must go to this place.

We shared the crab cake appetizer and the steak, lobster, and fried shrimp entrée. Everything tasted great! They cooked the steak exactly how we wanted, and it was so tender.

My GF and I stopped in randomly on a VERY busy Saturday evening, and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a shelter in the middle of a storm. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and it was delicious! The staff was friendly and inviting, and the place itself was not overcrowded. Perfect for a nice, quiet date. So nice, in fact, that we came back on our last night to enjoy the company again. Thanks for the hospitality Eric & Co! We'll be back again!

The lobster was frozen lobster... there is a lobster tank up front but none within it.

I have never taken the time to leave a terrible review but this place earned it. We waited 1.5 hours just for my husband to get his dish and I waited another 15 minutes for my salad. Disgusting!!

Possibly the worst place to get breakfast in the French Quarter. It took 20 minutes to get coffee and there were only 2 other tables full in the place. The coffee was cold. That should have been our first indication that this was not a good place. The sausage was underdone, the poached eggs were hard boiled, the crab cake was burned and the French toast was cold and soggy. There are SO MANY better places to eat within just a block. Skip this place if you’re looking for good food or timely service.

Bartender incredibly rude

We got wrangled in to coming in to this place and we were treated like trash by the bartender. It was so confusing. To the point that how rude the bartender was after I ordered my husband didnt order anything because he wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. We didnt eat - because we didnt want to give this place a dollar more than what I had ordered so I cant speak to their food. The service was hideous - would not recommend.

Cedric got us in th door at 930 am for a drink and then back for dinner with xheis wh was awesome also! Owner was fantastic! Stopped by to check in!
