Heard Dat Kitchen is a great small place in New Orleans with amazing flavors. They offer indoor bar seating and outdoor tables for dining. The Fried Chicken Dat Plate with mac & cheese, potato salad, and peas is incredible, living up to Louisiana fried chicken standards. The blackened fish, shrimp, and chicken are also highly recommended. The space may be small, but the food is full of flavor and texture, extremely satisfying, and served quickly. The outdoor seating is perfect for dining in, but it's also worth it for takeout. The cornbread with a special sauce, grilled catfish and grits with fried shrimp, and the fish with potatoes topped with onion rings are all delicious options.
