low prices for lots of great food
Somebody recommended the restaurant the last time we visited New Orleans. We loved it then. I woke up thinking about them today only to get there and discover the restaurant was closed permanently… so sad.

Hobnobber bar is a local gem and a fantastic dive bar. The bartenders, including Brian and Hunter, are fantastic and out of this world, providing good vibes and great conversation. Brian is a tourist's friend advocate who points to the best food and entertainment around. The staff is well-experienced and often veterans in the game. The atmosphere is great, with a relaxing vibe when not crowded. The music mixes are unique to each bartender's shift. Happy hour specials and late night after 11 happy hour are great. The beer and shot special and lemon shots are out of this world. The chicken sandwich poboy is a habit, and the menu never disappoints. Drink prices are more than reasonable. The bar is a home bar for Mardi Grad. Dogs are always welcome with water and treats. Movie nights are the bomb, and beer launches feature new varieties. After 39 years, the diner closed, but the bar remains a special spot. 15/10.
