Great place! Very friendly, colorful, authentic. Went on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch and ordered the hot roast beef poboy. Food was served to me hot and it was delicious. Staff was extra friendly and atmosphere felt authentic with LSU all over the place. WWOZ was playing in the background. Whether you're a regular or tourist i strongly recommend 👌
I got the fried shrimp Po’boy. It was a nice portion, the bread and dressing were fresh, but the shrimp was fried in burned old grease and that’s all I could taste. The sandwich was $20. It’s not really a cheap sandwich, but it tasted like fast food because of the fryer grease. Shame.

I hadn’t ever had one, let alone heard of one. Thinly sliced meat, melted cheese and the most wonderful olive spread on smokin’ hot Italian bread.
If I had more room in me, I’d have had two. Absolutely fantastic sandwich. I’ll be back again for lunch!
