Neyow’s XL Steakhouse

Great dining experience! We came for a birthday party and actually took up about 6 tables. Despite our large party everything came out quickly from drinks to appetizers to our main entrées. Friendly waitstaff who suggested menu items and answered questions. The only dow side was the steep stairclimb up otherwise 10 out of 10 experience!

I live down here and wanted to try this place out. The Food was cold, gave us the wrong meal, service was bad!!! Our waiter only came to our table bout 2 times, ordered pancakes but didn’t even get syrup till later??!! We waited 50 MINUTES for our food after we sat down.

Food is good but service is absolutely horrible. Also they automatically add in tip 18% so gives them no motivation to provide customer service.

Wouldn't recommend this place especially for the price unfortunately.

Manager Lana? Absolutely horrible service my family and I ate here, she had a attitude the whole time, she needs to choose between being a server or a manager not both because she does an absolute terrible job at both, i think i’ll pass on coming back here.

Starting off … walked in wasn’t greeted and everyone looked at us like we were robbers lol no host or anyone to tell us what’s going on on where to be seated asked 3 different people where can we sit .. someone from the bar yelled sit them over there!!! Food took forever to come out. Nor did the waitress come by with common curtsey or apologize for the wait. But this where it gets crazy after we pay and leave .. the waitress came out yelling at us because we didn’t TIP stating that’s how they make their money and we May not know that if we never worked in that field of work … EXCUSE YOU?!!! Yea avoid this place!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

First and foremost keep in mind, we are the only guest in there; so there is no excuse as to why we experienced any of the issues we had. Came in at 5:20pm, we had a 5:30 reservation, wasn't greeted, waiter just yelled across the restaurant, that we could sit at any available seats.

After seating the waiter did come promptly to get our drink orders and presented the menus, I ordered the crab dip and my husband ordered the oysters. Waiter came back with small dishes for the bread and I immediately noticed the dishes were dirty, due to having crumbs on them as he was placing them; very hard to miss. He brung new ones, then he brung the bread which was burnt, I didn't stress the issue, I just pushed it to the side. The oysters and crab dip came out and it was delicious. Went to drink water and the glass was FILTHY, no understatement. Brung it to the waiters attention, he brung out a new glass, which was visibly exceptionally cleaned compared to the first glass ( which literally had stains and food clumps dried up on it).

On to the dinner, I ordered the Surf and Turf (Medium Well) and my husband ordered the Ribeye(Medium) and a side of crawfish mac and cheese. Steak comes out and is extremely dry, the texture of beef jerky. Showed the waiter he sent it back, the 2nd steak was perfect, but now we are full from the pasta and Mac and cheese and just get it to go.

Would I be back, no.
After paying 280.00 for a mediocre meal I'll prefer to eat at home or any of the other restaurants we thoroughly enjoyed.

Mind you we were anticipating this restaurant for weeks for our date night, highly disappointed.

The service and atmosphere are amazing. The restaurant is very intimate and the decore is sophisticated but fun. The food was really good, but the asparagus and bread pudding were spectacular. I will definitely come back.

This was our favorite restaurant the whole trip. Everything was delicious! The drinks were strong, the waiter/bartender was attentive and nice. The decor, ambiance, and murals were a nice touch. Ive been thinking about that salmon since I left.

Neyow’s XL Steakhouse delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was upscale yet inviting, with that signature New Orleans charm woven throughout.

We came hungry and were not disappointed! I ordered the XL Burger, which was juicy, flavorful, and lived up to its name in size and taste. The pork belly bites were absolutely mouthwatering—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. We ended the meal with their bread pudding, and it was the perfect sweet finish—warm, rich, and indulgent.

One of the standout moments of the night was when the chef came out personally to check on our table and make sure everything was to our liking. That level of hospitality really elevated the experience.

If you’re looking for bold flavors, generous portions, and genuine Southern hospitality in NOLA, Neyow’s XL Steakhouse is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be returning!
