The Holy Ground Irish Pub in Mid-City offers a laid-back charm with a diverse selection of high-end whiskeys and bourbons. Enjoy great drinks at reasonable prices and don't miss the outstanding Chinese Southern fusion bites from the kitchen in the back. The bar is very cozy with a cool ambiance and a Cheers-like feel. The staff is amazing, with bartenders making very good drinks and providing friendly service. The kitchen, run by Chef Lu, serves some of the best food, but note that it doesn't open until 5:00. It’s a great local bar with fun people, lots of energy, and an overall awesome vibe, located on Canal Street, near the French Quarters.
