I am editing my previous 5 star review. I try to eat herr each time I visit. This trip my experience was awful. The website is outdated and shows the old menu so when I arrived I was surprised to find a new lineup that removed all of the dishes I once loved. I ordered the blackened redfish with slaw and garlic potatoes. The fish was flavorless and not blackened. The slaw which was supposed to be squash based was a bowl of raw onions. The potatoes were so inundated with garlic I couldnt eat them. I am not sure why they changed things so completely but it was not an improvement.

We stopped by while walking by to grab a drink and we ended up having some food. It was amazing! My son said the bloody Mary was amazing, he is trying to get the recipe! So if you read this, reach out! If you are in New Orleans stop by. You won't be disappointed. Everything was amazing here!

This used to be a must for us every time we came to New Orleans. Yesterday the food was horrible, my husband couldn't even finished his red beans and rice. They used to serve the most awesome bread, I had a ask for some and you would have though I asked for a million dollars. Needless to say we will not be going back and they also raised their prices which would have been fine if the food was good.

Here is the local view. The food, 1 star at best. I'm not sure if the owners are local but the food is Subway at it's best. We had to bus our own table. We were a table of three. We received 2 plates and no silverware. From the app to the entrance, nothing. Our server was more interested in checking her teeth in the mirror then taking care of her tables. Food, cold, fries colder. She blamed the bartender for late drinks because she did not bother to check for them. 1 star. 5 stars for management and chef. They jumped on it. They were fantastic. We still left and I would never bring a guest there but I will go back and give them the chance. Strictly for the service. Rock Stars.

The people rating this low are busy bodies who wanted a bar, not an actual restaurant experience. The food is amazing, prices are on the higher side but you get a LOT of food for it, the wait staff is fantastic and was super understanding of my food allergies, and it was a nice *quiet* moment away from the hustle and bustle of the French market. So far, my favorite part of my trip!

How can this place only have a 3.9 rating? We come to NOLA 2-3 times a year and have yet to find another restaurant that rivals their Jambalaya, Gumbo, or ESPECIALLY their bread pudding. We love this place so much. Great food, people, and prices.
