I visited PJ’s Coffee on Decatur Street in the French Quarter on 06/18/2026 around 1:11pm. I had been walking in the sun and was overheating and as a diabetic, I needed something for my blood sugar but also had to sit down right away to help stabilize my blood sugar while I waited for the long line (with only one barista working) to shorten. I pulled out my laptop and was replying to a text, fully intending to order once the line died down. An employee (who turned out to be the manager, Roy) walked up and rudely told me, “You can’t sit here if you don’t purchase anything.” I politely explained that I was about to order and was just waiting for the line. He responded in a confrontational tone. When the line shortened, I approached the counter and calmly told him his approach was rude. He immediately replied, “Well you don’t have to sit here and you can leave then.” I asked for his name so I could leave a review. He refused multiple times, saying “My name doesn’t matter” and “You should write a review” dismissively. Only after I asked to speak to a manager did he identify himself as Roy and tell me to leave. I have video footage of the entire exchange. This level of hostility from the manager, toward a local customer who was dealing with a medical need and planning to purchase, is unacceptable. I left feeling unwelcome, disrespected, and stressed in what should be a casual coffee shop. I will not be returning to this location and cannot recommend it. Poor customer service like this can be especially harmful for customers with health considerations, especially in a busy tourist area like the French Market.

Literally walked around with this fantastic coffee ☕. While exploring the area we quickly stopped into PJ's coffee to grab a iced latte for a bit of an energy boost as we walked around sightseeing. The staff was friendly and the latte was ready to go in no time. Even though we got our coffee to go, while waiting I noticed the coffee spot itself was nice with lots of seating amd comfortable chairs. The iced latte was smooth, pefect for the hot /humid weather and gave us the caffeine we needed to keep on going with our journey.

I love coming here every morning PJ’s is one of my favorite spots. I get a plain bagel with cream cheese and a dragon fruit Red Bull every time and it’s always so good. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is really nice

Great service, decent menu, so-so food and coffee. Overall, pretty basic. Maybe the pastries are better? The atmosphere would have been better if there weren't so many gnats to swat away. The Swamp Attack looked nothing like the picture, but at least the flavor was good without it being overly sweet.

They don’t have espresso/ americano / black coffee. They also don’t sell the infamous NOLA grinned coffee powder, for which I went there before leaving NOLA. I tried two of them and both were same.
Very good cold brew! Smooth with hints of roasty chocolate.

I went on vacations with my family a month ago and we had the worst experience ever, the girl behind the cashier was so rude and yelling at costumers. Screaming at the top of her lungs even when there was little children there...the WORST place in Nola, I wouldn't recommend this horrible place!

Brown hair lady was too worried about vaping infront of the store instead of doing job correctly. Didn't give me the right order seemingly on purpose and then gave us cold breakfast sandwiches argued they werent frozen then put them in the microwave to cook them. Coffee is good at least.
