Went to the maple street location that just opened . Will be back for sure!
I ordered an HP Special - no sausage (meatless) on a blueberry bagel and it was AMAZING!
The bagel was toasted and the ingredients were FRESH.
This was also fulfilling and curbed my hunger for a few hours.

I’m a native New Yorker and these bagels are the real deal! took home a half dozen bagels and had one there with butter. I keep my bagels simple. Had a coffee with it. They can do better on the coffee. the place was packed, the way a great bagel place should be. Loved it!

Shug's Bagels is a busy bagel spot with a little bit of everything. The bagels are made in-house, boiled and baked fresh right behind the counter, with a soft center and crispy outside. The Spicy Shug features Bacon, Egg and Pepper Jack Cheese with a Hashbrown and Hot Sauce on a Roll, Bagel or Wrap. The classic shug breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and hash brown is very good, and the Shug's bagel with an egg bagel is good too. A garlic bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and tomato and an Everything bagel with bacon-scallion cream cheese are also mentioned. Prices are good and the atmosphere is really cool, with great retro decor on the walls that gives the place a fun New York-meets-New Orleans vibe. It is a short walk from the St Charles street car line and an easy walk back to Audubon Park. The place looks delicious from the outside and is quite quaint and pretty. Service is as fast as they can, and everything is made to order. The ordering and pickup process was a little disorganized, and a front end staff member wasn't too kind, but the food was worth the wait.
