Located off the beaten path in Uptown on Freret St., Sunnies is a totally unique spot with a laid-back, hidden-gem vibe. The setting is unlike anything else, featuring an in-ground heated pool to enjoy on hot days, with towel service available and tables around the pool, plus an indoor bar and tables. The food is the real star—dishes coming out of the kitchen might just knock your pants off. From the lobster shrimp rolls and crudo to the flat iron steak and sliders, every bite was on point. The staff and owner are incredibly friendly, with great service and entertaining bartenders. Drinks are fantastic, rounding out an already great experience. Weekends are busy, so getting there early is recommended. The overall energy is really welcoming, with a friendly and easygoing vibe. A NOLA must dining experience and a highly recommended hidden gem.
