“Thanks to my friend Brittany, I discovered a true culinary treasure—Thai’d Up—and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the moment you walk in, the cozy, quaint atmosphere and warm, inviting staff make you feel instantly at home. The attention to detail is impressive—even the utensils sparkle! But let’s talk about the real star: the food. It’s nothing short of spectacular. This isn’t just Thai food—it’s Thai cuisine elevated to an art form. Every dish bursts with flavor, freshness, and care. You can truly taste the pride the chef pours into each beautifully crafted dish. The roti flatbread? Light, flaky, and downright heavenly—like eating a savory cloud. It’s a must-have every single time. The Pad Thai is hands down the best I’ve ever had, and the red curry is rich, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. An extra bonus? You can customize your spice level, which I love. If you like a little heat, I recommend starting with a level 1. Thai’d Up doesn’t mess around—those spice levels can definitely put some hair on your chest! If you think you know good Thai food, think again. Thai’d Up will completely redefine your expectations and keep you coming back for more. Once you’ve eaten here, no other Thai restaurant will compare.“

“This is a really good locally owned Thai restaurant just a few blocks outside the French Quarter. I got the Crab Rangoon and the gyoza as appetizers, and they were amazing! For dessert, I loved the Umi cheesecake so much I got a second slice. I also found the chandeliers and the detailed mural made the space feel classy but still casual. The service was also very good. I will definitely be back.
Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is level with the street. There are no stairs either inside or outside.“

“Had a sample of the gumbo… first time I’ve truly enjoyed a gumbo outside of my family’s recipe. Seasoned to perfection… my boyfriend and I ordered the gumbo ramen and Thailand fried chicken with sticky rice. It was such a unique blend of flavors and everything tasted so fresh!!!! Will definitely be making the drive again to support this business. Also, the service was just as awesome as the food!! Try the matcha tea for sure as well.“

“I enjoyed my visit to Chill Out Cafe! I had a bowl of their Tom Kha and I enjoyed it. I had never seen tomatoes or carrots in this dish from any other Thai restaurant before, but I enjoyed the flavors of this addition. The calamari was deliciously crunchy. Our whole table ordered bubble tea but unfortunately they did not have enough boba left, as it was the end of the day. The thai tea and coffee was delicious regardless. I would come here again, and I hope to try their breakfast soon!“

“Denied access to a legally allowed service dog without any interest in making accommodation. The dog tucked immediately under the table where she is supposed to be and the server (maybe owner) came over immediately asking for paperwork, which isn't required in the United States. Any paperwork provided is typically bought off the internet. Don't waste your time or money here. Sharing their intolerance on every platform. Also just found out that the person who told us we couldn't eat there laughed and tried to joke with the rest of our party and offer free drinks after the fact like that was going to fix splitting our dinner party.“

“We stopped in 2 years ago with 3 teenage girls, 2 of whom are extremely picky. They still talk about how good the was here, and ask when we are going back to New Orleans so they can get more. It was delicious.“

“We stopped by for our last evening in New Orleans. They had a long list of mocktails and n/a beers, which were perfect for our family. The food tasted different from other Thai food we have had - some more like Indian food and some more like Chinese food. We got two appetizers (okra & tofu satay) and two entrees (a tofu noodle soup and a jackfruit curry). We also got a small slice of the chai cheesecake - which I didn't know at the time cost $22! There are awards on the wall that show that the chef won 2 New Orleans vegan cooking contests. Service was very nice and attentive. 20% tip is included and there are signs saying that this is to help them pay a living wage. Two appetizers, 2 entrees, one Thai iced tea, one n/a beer, 3 mocktails, and one small slice of cheesecake came to $175 including the tip. You can decide if that's what you're looking for! I'd say our average meal in New Orleans, buying one of just about every vegan option and sharing it at many different restaurants, cost about $80, so this is much more expensive. Bonus though, they give you pandan water, which we discovered is delicious! Updated from previous review on 2025-04-11“
