I came here right after Ida hit on a Saturday for the first time and I couldn't have felt more welcome by all the staff. I knew the catastrophes people may be going through or bringing back fearful memories of Katrina's impact but they were glad we there and I was glad they were there. I was greeted swiftly and seated right away. I looked over the menu and was excited to try their coffee cocktails. I've always said I wished there was a place in New Orleans that offered boozy coffee drinks and wondered why it isn't a more popular thing down here. Well, Business Bar answered those queries and dreams! I tried the Justini latte. And OMG, I downed that s***** in about 3 seconds. The justin is made up of vanilla vodka and bailey's - yes please!! And topped with whipping cream and chocolate syrup. It was strong too, all I really needed was two. Next I tried the old fashioned grind. I'm not an old fashion drinker because I don't love bourbon but this barely tasted like bourbon. After the first sip, I got just a touch of bourbon flavors, more like caramel, and then in the finish your pallet is filled with coffee and its delicious! Next I went with the espresso martini. I'd say this tasted similar to the justini latte but not as sugary. The one thing the martini was missing would be chocolate syrup rimmed all around the inside of the glass. I specifically went out and bought an expresso maker on Amazon because of this place! All 3 cocktails were fabulous and I want more! I ordered some food too. The menu isn't huge but this was also after a cat 4 just hit about 40 miles west of us. I had the burger and partigiano fries. Both were good but the cocktails are the star of this show. There is inside and outside seating. It's got plenty of space for groups. Bar along the window so you can set up your laptop and drink coffee cocktails while working if that's your style. Off street parking. Modern vibe. Stairs and ramp to get in. I am eagerly awaiting my second time to come here. I plan to take a friend that's coming in town in a couple of weeks. Can't wait for that Justini in my life again!

The Business Bar is a great concept, yet I'm not sure how to review the experience. In all transparency, the environment was clean and inviting, yet the service was slower than usual (because they're extremely short staffed), and the portions are itty-bitty miniature bites. When our food arrived, it almost felt like a joke. Aside from that it's a solid spot to get your work done.

Went for a late 3 PM lunch with my brothers on Thursday, January 20. Ambience is always great. This was about my third visit to The Business Bar. On this particular day, it looked like they had some last minute staff and technology issues. But☝?It did not affect service nor the quality of food. These days we have to wear our patience panties as the service/restaurant industry has a unique set of obstacles. We had a delicious garden salad with chicken added. A beautifully prepared vegetable plate that was very delicious and some indulgent Parmesan fries. We praised the chef and the waitress who was working on her own and handling her business VERY well. I'm planning to go back this week for a lunch with my business partner. If you are in the area, I strongly recommend trying them. Despite some obstacles beyond their control they still managed to do a great job! Cheers ?

Food was ok. It's a bit pricey for not really being any different than other restaurants. The staff was overly friendly but it was better than a terrible wait staff. I would recommend if you needed to get some work done, it's a good place. Maybe just order a coffee and work in peace.

I made a reservation with a few work colleagues for a second interview with a job candidate that was going to be less formal. He ended up waiting outside of the restaurant in the cold. The restaurant is apparently closed but has not deactivated it's open table reservation system. Buyer beware.

Even though Open Table listed the restaurant as open for 8:00 P.M. New Year's eve and confirmed my reservation twice, when we arrived the restaurant was not open. This is the second time this has happened to me and I plan to call restaurants directly from here out. Apparently Open Table cannot be bothered to make sure the restaurants listed are actually open.

Hubby and I enjoyed a yelp elite perk event (detail reviewed separately) and wanted to give the Business Bar a bit more business (pun intended) so we stuck around and enjoyed a dessert and additional time together on the front patio outdoor dining area. There are two options on the dessert menu. We decided to go for "A Scoop of Success" and we loved it! Who wouldn't love four scoops of delicious cheese cake filling covered with strawberry drizzle?!? (Okay you might not love it if you only eat cheesecake to get to the crust) :) I have to admit that I was a bit confused by the name at first but once I read the menu and talked to the friendly staff, I figured out that The Business Bar is a spot for both work and play. Exciting to see a fun and unique, woman owned concept addition to the busy Freret Street corridor. And it was good to see the restaurant traffic was busy while we were there, indicating that the Business Bar seems to have found a concept that works! Give this place a try if you're looking for a good spot to eat, drink and connect to the internet all at the same time!!

Can I tell you HOW MANY TIMES I’ve passed here and didn’t know this place existed??? Oh ok… well I won’t bore you, but it’s been plenty of times!!!!I entered THE BUSINESS BAR and was greeted and seated in the most familiarly pleasant way by “T" as he's called.Once seated, I unloaded a barrage of questions about this facility... and T was able to answer them all. This was phenomenal, I mean, your employees NEED to know the history of the business for nosy folks like me... lol.Pursuing the menu I was pleasantly surprised that it was so extensive. I mean, I really just thought it was a "bar-bar" but it's a bar with REAL-REAL food... I mean, after boozing it up, you NEED food to sop up all that al-k-hall. Lol.I neglected to say there's a way-cool outdoor area that overlooks the street & foot traffic. When I FIRST walked up, I knew this was where I wanted to be, so I asked T if I could be re-seated on the patio. He joyfully allowed & I headed there.Truffle fries + the CEOs + the SIDE HUSTLEs (don't judge me). My friend ordered lamb chops + Brussels sprouts to dine on.When I tell you, we sat for a spell… OMG!!! We sat + drank + chilled for about 4 hours. I was toasty-boots when I left there, fyi, I wasn’t driving, so there’s that. The ambiance was great. The company in the patio grew as the night progressed. The noise level on the street & foot traffic was nominal and barely noticeable. The service was EXCELLENT, TOP-NOTCH & PRAISEWORTHY. T checked on us & the other guests several times while we were on the patio. He was very attentive to our needs & accommodated us accordingly.I've told friends + friends + more friends about this establishment & we have date(s)on the books to visit.Street parking is the call for the day, it's Freret, so if you see a spot, GRAB IT!!!

Really wish I could give it a 4.5. Food, vibe and the space are really good. The only drawback are some of the portions. It's worth the visit!

Visited this establishment for the first and second time and my expectations were exceeded on both visits. This particular day I dined with a friend and we sat on the patio mid day on a Tuesday, how wonderful. The staff was very attentive. We had drinks, food and made memories. I had the salmon bites with grits and Texas toast. The salmon bites were delicious. There was a dipping sauce that was ah-mazzzzzzing. The Texas toast was good and filling it just as I had remembered it from times when I had it before. And the grits were definitely something I needed to take to go because it was more than I could eat in one sitting. This along with the watermelon martini made my palate super happy. My dining companion and I had a great time. And vowed to return. We plan to come back and try more of the tasty sounding dining creations on the menu. Unfortunately because of the #CovidSupplyChainIssue, they were out of a few Items. But it's all good, it'll just make the anticipation of our return visit, all the greater. The service was as I remembered it, attentive and stellar on all accounts. I love the ambience of this place, whether you dine indoors in the spacious dining room or if you decide to go outdoors on the patio; both experiences are pleasant and welcoming. I love on Wednesdays there's live music. And throughout the week there are happy hour specials which are inclusive of light bites, and who doesn't love to nosh on something while sipping on an adult beverage on HUMPDAY; that was a rhetorical question dont ha know. I found pricing to be fair. Parking is pretty scarce on this street as it's very busy street, so if you find a spot, grab it. #ThankfulThursday #Thank youThursday2021 #StillInThePandemic #TheBusinessBar #BlackOwnedAndOperated #YelpElite

Wow. Phenomenal. Blown away. This place is such a gem! I am so glad I found it because I will be back for more! The decor is cute and artsy and the vibes are immaculate. Also the playlist is fire! The staff are so friendly and the service is exceptional! I got the happy hour champagne and it was only $3. Never seen a better deal! I also ordered the chicken flatbread . Chefs kiss - so delicious! Cant wait to come back again!

This was such a great spot for a lunch meeting. The person I was with ended up staying to work there for another few hours. Free Wi-fi? Great food? Easy access to surge protectors for electronics? So much YES! To start off, the wait staff were very friendly, polite, and fun. The decor when you first enter is on point. Little touches of green, yet clean with the metal finishes. The music was nice, too! Very comfortable atmosphere with a ton of seating options, but I had to sit at the table with the comfy green chairs. They also have a ton of tables, bar seating, and outdoor seating. I ordered the Intentional Girl, and this is not only a delicious drink, but it's gorgeous, too. This will definitely become my go-to drink when I go back. I munched on the power hour fries, brussel sprouts, and shrimp flat bread. These are great for long talks, as well as sharing. I know they thought out this menu! The fries have parmesean and other seasonings, so they're just delictible with their drinks. The brussel sprouts are fried to perfection; crisp, flavorful, and a large enough portion where I could've just had that for lunch with the fries. The shrimp were large in size and portion, and the flatbread was good, but not my favorite of the day. I'll try another entree next time (the salmon was speaking to me so I'll try that!). Will definitely be back soon!

I had a wonderful time visiting the Business Bar! It's on Freret, so you can expect the area to be busy during the hours after work, but I had no trouble finding free street parking. When we got there, it was PACKED inside even though it was a random Wednesday! This place is popular!! It was lively inside with a woman singing for everyone. Although it seemed like a lot of fun, my boyfriend and I decided to sit outside that night, since it was lovely out. Due to the Yelp Elite Perk, two cocktails and an order of parmesan fries were complimentary. We got the "She Sparkles Rum Punch" and a "Frozen Pina Colada" with our fries. We also purchased an order of BBQ chicken tacos. It took a while to receive our orders, but it was a busy night, so it was understandable. Plus, we were in no rush! Our orders came almost all at once, and everything was pretty good!! The cocktails were yummy as expected, but the alcohol content was a little low in my opinion. However, they did NOT skimp on the parmesan cheese for our fries at all, so that was fantastic! I could have used a little more salt on them, but that's an easy remedy! Lastly, the BBQ chicken tacos were phenomenal! Zero complaints about that one! The chicken was well-seasoned and perfectly grilled. It came with a BBQ sauce and some kind of slightly spicy aioli sauce. DELICIOUS! We hadn't gone out in a hot minute, and this was a fun outing for us! Thank you Business Bar!

This boujee casual hot new spot is so cute! Perfectly MMO mom I situated near some other bars/rest for hopping around if desired. Decorated/designed MMO really cool/modern, only thing that we would change regarding atmosphere would be dimming the lights a bit for a more sultry feel in later evening hours, and actually, turning the temperature up a touch (was quite frigid inside!)-but they do have outdoor seating as well on the little sidewalk patio in front. Food and Md MMO r oko

On top of the yelp elite perk, I got an order of Brussel sprouts and bbq shrimp. The brussel sprouts were good, but I wish they had some type of sauce on them. Maybe like a sweet n sour type sauce would be good. The bbq shrimp were also good but not what I was expecting! I thought they would've already been peeled, but they were whole so had to get my hands dirty in order to eat. Not too bad though. Overall a good bar restaurant on feret st to grab a drink
